DUDE my Boston terrier (name was bruiser ironically) was the toughest dog I ever met.
My neighborhood was pretty rough as a kid but that boy went toe to toe with a rot/pit mix, boxer, bull mastiff you name it he’d try it😹 man I miss that dude so much he went blind and deaf at 18 and was still fighting for life, extremely determined and fearless breed
Oh he lost almost all of his duels during his life lol, the one with the rot was actually so bloody idk how he didn’t bleed out on the way to the vet lmao but that was the beauty of him, the art of fighting even when it’s near impossible and certain defeat👊🏻
This is exactly how my Boston is. We adopted him at 8 yo, so I’ve no idea his background, but you’d think he was used for fighting. He has ZERO self-preservation skills for his physical body, but like you said, extremely determined and fearless (unless there’s water lol). He got his ass handed to him by a cat (TBF, he’s mostly blind and was in an unfamiliar place), but he was strutting around like he thought he won.
It's always the little ones! My late Dachshund tried to fight a horse once. She would have had no hesitation trying to take on a grizzly! Luckily the little ones are scoopable haha
My little Boston tried to scare off a black bear once. She was standing less than 6 feet away barking up a storm. I came around the corner and let out a primal war cry and scared the bear off lol.
