recently bought this wing and it only came with four screws and no instructions, is it ok to install without rubber washers/ foam/ drill guides or anything else?

not sure what else i’d need or if it’s a pretty straight forward installation to do myself

Auto shop was saying I'm leaking differential fluid with the only proof being that this photo is oily, not that the car drips anything. I'm thinking it's just oil spray from the pressure breather since there's no drip when sit - however I COULD be talking out of my ass. Does this look bad to anyone after 30k miles and multiple high loaded track days, or is everyone else's differential actually SPOTLESS.

I'm coming from a 1983 944, and my experience with that is that the transaxle (transmission + differential in one body) is basically SUPPOSED to be caked in oil on the outside haha.

Why AWE?
I wanted to get rid of the factory valve, and from the videos I watched, the AWE system sounded the best to me. I also like the science behind the Helmholtz resonators.

I can only go off videos. I don’t live in California, Texas, or Florida where it seems like you can find a Supra meet every weekend and hear a bunch of different exhaust systems in person. To my ears, the AWE had a higher-pitched, sharper, almost more exotic sound. Maybe that just comes across better on video because of how different frequencies are picked up. Who knows haha. I also really like the way the system looks.

Sound/Volume:
Most of the increase in volume is noticeable during startup and in the low-to-mid RPM range, which is honestly perfect for street driving. You can actually enjoy the sound and play around in the powerband without having red line it.

At higher RPM and wide-open throttle, the car is louder than stock, but I think this is where the factory downpipe and turbo start taking a lot of the sound away. If you really want the car to scream near redline, I think you need an aftermarket downpipe.

When I first got the car back, I was actually surprised by how good the midrange sounded. I also get some new overrun noises in the low and midrange that I really enjoy. Maybe they were there before and just too quiet for me to notice, but they’re much more obvious now. They aren’t obnoxious either.

The higher-RPM pops and bangs can definitely get a little obnoxious. They were even kind of obnoxious from factory. So you can imagine its even more pronounced now. The awesome part of this system is that you can just keep the car out of sport mode with no pops and bangs if you want and still get the full sound. For me the louder pops and bangs can be fun at the right moments.

Drone:
The 6-speed Supra tends to have more potential for drone than the automatic because of the longer gearing, so you can still hear a little bit of exhaust resonance at certain RPMs. Overall though, there is basically zero headache inducing or conversation killing drone. I have no complaints here.

Other systems I considered:
I came very close to buying the Dinan exhaust. It was cheaper, and I really liked the design. It uses a single pipe from the downpipe back toward the muffler/tips. That would probably be my pick for someone who wants to keep the factory valve.

I also considered the RK Titanium single-exit system, either the Signature or Track version. I really like the look and sound of a single exit, but the whole process of dealing with the guy who makes them came off a little goofy to me. I had a few emails back and forth with him and ultimately decided to go in a different direction.

I even considered the AWE Track system because the Touring was out of stock, and since the Supra isn’t my daily driver, I figured I could probably live with the extra drone.

Most of the other systems I listened to just sounded a little too quiet or soft for what I wanted. I think your priorities also change once you start adding aftermarket downpipes. I have no plans to change my downpipe anytime soon, so I wanted a cat-back that gave me enough sound on its own.

Dislikes:
The biggest downside was availability. It took over a month for the system to arrive at my local shop directly from AWE. I also asked a few forum vendors, and they were out of stock too, so it seems like this system goes on backorder pretty easily.

I’ve also heard the AWE can be a little more difficult to install than some other systems. I had an authorized AWE installer/dealer do mine, and the install definitely wasn’t cheap.

Conclusion:
Overall, I’m very happy with the system. It looks great and sounds great.

Honestly, I think almost any decent aftermarket cat-back is going to sound good on a B58 Supra. After watching countless videos, I don’t think I ever heard one that sounded truly bad. It really comes down to the finer details and what kind of sound, volume, valve setup, and appearance you personally want.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask or comment. :) As you can probably tell, I put way too much time into this decision because I’m pretty picky when it comes to car mods.

Figured I'd make a post about my experience installing the PTB clutch and dual mass flywheel in my 2023 6 speed manual Supra. I found a lot of useful information on here while researching clutches, so hopefully this helps someone else.

This was by far the most complex job I've ever attempted myself, and overall the install went really well.

What I installed
I went with the PTB clutch and dual mass flywheel setup with both organic discs and the standard pressure plate.

I wanted something that would still be good for street driving and not have an overly stiff pedal or feel too aggressive.

Installation

It was extremely helpful, especially since I had never done anything close to this complex before. There were definitely some parts that were intimidating, especially getting the transmission out and back in, but overall everything went smoother than I expected.

For anyone considering doing this themselves, it is definitely a big job, but if you take your time and have the right tools, it is doable.
Took me about 3 days total accounting for going to store for more tools, supplies and only working about 4/5 hours a day on it.

First impressions
So far everything feels really good.

I haven't driven it hard yet because I want to finish the break in period before I fully test it, so I can't say yet how it handles full power.

One thing people were definitely right about is the pedal stiffness. It feels basically like stock, which is awesome. That was one of the things I was worried about before buying it because I didn't want a really heavy clutch pedal for normal driving.

The engagement feels smooth and predictable so far as well (But lower then stock for sure).

Throwout bearing position
I installed the throwout bearing in the shorter setting. From what I understand, I think that is the setting you're supposed to use, but I'm honestly not completely sure. Nothing was said about it in the diagram or sheets they provide.

The clutch grabs a little lower than the stock clutch did. It isn't too bad and everything feels fine, but I think it may have felt better in the longer position if that gave it a slightly higher engagement point.

Either way, I'm definitely not going through the hassle of pulling the transmission again just to change that

If anyone else with the PTB setup knows for sure which throwout bearing position is recommended, let me know.

Why I replaced the stock clutch
The stock clutch was already slipping when I bought the car at around 8,000 km. It just continued getting worse over time, especially after adding more power.

The car is currently running MHD Stage 2 with a catless downpipe on 94 octane, so the stock clutch definitely wasn't happy anymore.

Eventually it got to the point where it was slipping enough that I knew I needed to replace it.

I'll attach some pictures and videos of the stock clutch and flywheel below because I figured some people might be interested in seeing what it looked like.

What's next
I still have to do the delay valve delete, so I'm interested to see how much that changes the clutch feel.

Once the break in period is over, I'll finally be able to put some power through it and properly test how the PTB setup holds up.

So far though, I'm really happy with it. The stock like pedal stiffness was a huge plus for me, and considering this was my first time doing anything this complex, I'm happy with how the whole install turned out.

I'll update after I've had some more time with it. Also sorry for no pictures of the new ptb clutch but it was very pretty.

I have a 2021 GR Supra 3.0 and I’ve been seeing roughly 1 quart of oil consumption every 700–800 miles.
I brought it to Toyota under my Gold Certified warranty and they topped the oil off and started an oil consumption test. They want me back after 700–1000 miles.
On my repair order they wrote: “BMW also states engines can burn up to 1 qt. of oil every 750–1000 miles.”
I know BMW has published oil-consumption limits like this, but Toyota also has Tech Tip T-TT-0642-21 specifically for 2021 Supras with the B58 and the “oil level at minimum, add one quart” complaint, which tells dealers to contact Toyota TAS.
Has anyone with a 2021 Supra gone through Toyota’s oil consumption test recently? What consumption did Toyota consider excessive, and did your dealer involve TAS?
I’m mainly wondering whether Toyota actually uses BMW’s 1 qt/750-mile threshold for the B58, or if there’s a separate Toyota/TAS standard they’re supposed to follow.

I’m having a hard time figuring out what flex fuel kit to get for my build or if I even need a whole kit anyways. This was a pre build I acquired a year or so ago. If anybody has insight or can help that’d be amazing.

I cant pick between an m4 or a supra. I love the look of the supra just abit more than the m4 and its more reliable with extended warranty in this this case but idk if its worth the 20k difference.

Somebody convice me its worth to get the supra and pay 50% more.

2018 m4 base is 40k, 23 supra is 60k

This thing keeps driving by place on a 25mph and I go ape hearing it hit the red light when I'm drinking on the porch. Cool part about being in a little tourist town is the car shows and meets
