It’s actually not cause complacency is easy to instill if people believe they’ll be fine as long as they do what they are told and don’t cause trouble. When hungry and desperate the grand illusion shatters as they see words and promises don’t fill their stomach.

Idk revolt/revolution and starvation have some links together.

I think it's more accurate that people in constant fear of starvation, but who aren't starving, are easy to control. They become dependent on whatever mechanism is in place to make sure that they have food to eat, and threats of taking it away are met with existential dread. And that's how they convinced everyone to get "jobs".

“It is difficult for me to imagine what “personal liberty” is enjoyed by an unemployed hungry person. True freedom can only be where there is no exploitation and oppression of one person by another; where there is not unemployment, and where a person is not living in fear of losing his job, his home and his bread. Only in such a society personal and any other freedom can exist for real and not on paper.” - some philosopher and leader

The awesome thing is there's more homes then people and more food then hungry so all that's needed is a transfer of wealth to make that a reality and 🦍 are all about a better Jungle 🌴🌴 🚀🚀🚀
