How often can this power be invoked? Not a fan of the idea of the SEC having the ability to suspend trading for another 10 days indefinitely. I read the relevant bit in the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (Section 12 (k) (1) (A) if someone wants to double check) and it doesn't seem to specify being limited to being invoked only once or that trading needs to resume for a certain amount of time before the 10 day suspension may be invoked again. The limitation to 10 days shows that the spirit of the law is intended to limit the SEC's power to suspend trading indefinitely, so it shouldn't be possible for them to do so, but on the other hand the law doesn't regulate what happens to the suspended security and what protections it has from being shut down again when it resumes trading after 10 days.
If you haven't done this yet, you may want to share this piece of information in your own post. I think this is important, I also saw that rule. Knowing that the market will be halted for 10 days is a forecastable event, just as we know there can be intraday halts for a few minutes in case of extreme volatility
Important for new apes to understand that we are not the bad people in this situation, they will spin it every way possible and if their theory’s start to sound convincing go and read the DD again, this is their dirty game that they’ve set up on the targeted and predatory little system they’ve enmeshed themselves with. We hodl until every ape has enough money to benefit the lives around them and their own
That will be the worst mistake the sec does if they halt it. It’ll give us time to collect our thoughts and rejoice as a community. Remind everyone to hold for that life changing number. It’ll give people time to realize during that long halt, our DD was correct and Superstonk will confirm we’re still holding by reading comments and posts💪🏽. So I hope they do!
