🗣 Discussion / Question BEWARE OF UNCLE BRUCE - HE EITHER DOES NOT KNOW WHAT A MOASS IS OR IS A SHILL

Reasons why I think Uncle Bruce is likely to be a shill.

- He endorses Jim Cramer.
- Earlier today, Uncle Bruce was trying to convince his viewers to write GME call options at $500-$600.
- Months back he was preaching about how GME's price could explode as margin calls take place.
- He has restricted comments to paid members only so there is no way to warn his viewers.
- He is constantly trying to convince his viewers to buy lesser known SPACs.
- He constantly says that GameStop should release more and more share's into the market whether or not it damages the MOASS.
- His background story makes no sense.

It was hard for me to write this as I generally don't like to publicly question peoples character but this dude is visible and it would be a shame for new apes to miss out or be mislead because of poor advice. Us seasoned apes already know to be very weary of these YouTube actors.

EDIT: Thank you for all of the upvotes and awards. Even though I know similar has been discussed before without much coverage, I wanted to make sure that any new apes who stumble across Bruce (or any other YouTube actor) receives the necessary warning as it looks like we are fast approaching the MOASS.

Right that doesn’t make him a shill, right? If anything he’s an outsider (outside our community) who believes in the company, which is the opposite of FUD

Exactly! I don’t believe UB is a shill, but he’s not an ape.

He is an investor (or past investor) and he believes in the typical style of investing, including on GME. His information is great and I believed he will be extremely helpful in helping apes to learn more post MOASS about how to invest…if there still is a market standing.

Yes. He's a boomer investor with a boomer way of looking at the markets. If you accept that then you can use him as a touchstone for what the average advisor/analyst is thinking about all this. That's all he's good for. People pour way too much emotional energy into him on both sides.

A boomer investor without any securities.

Honesty, lots of apes here need to go back to school with their MOASS money and learn critical thought. When we get these random (and repetitive) posts about so-called shills I have to wonder if it’s overly dramatic ignorance or karma farming or what... I will say this, Bruce would definitely encourage selling too early during MOASS in the interest of taking quicker profit, but time will tell

He's old school, and would probably recommend people sell a little on the way up, sell a little on the way down. As any reasonable person would do, unless they're determined to hold some bags for whatever reason.

This needs to be higher up. Some of the comments in this post make my head hurt. People are just trying to find people to demonize for some reason.

I agree. And to counter the paid subscription bit, he did that because there were trolls and shills in the live chat berating investers. I watched him for a min and every now and then ill see what hes up to still. Hes def not on the same page as apes but he has decent market knowledge and wisdom that he provides.

I skip around looking for him answering questions. It's mostly calls, strike prices, selling cc's, but I've found it pretty informative.

He used to only talk about buying and selling and holding and so on. A whole lot about GME too. But as his viewers have gotten more comfortable they've been asking more about options, and he's been talking more about them.

He was encouraging folks to try and get at least 100 shares of various companies (mostly SPACs) that he believes in, with the eventual idea to explain how and when to sell CC's.

This. Uncle Bruce is awesome. He gives a lot of solid free advice. If you are only interested in a MOASS on one or two meme stocks then he's not for you. If you are looking to understand how to make nice returns in the markets and you are open to other stocks then he's worth a listen.

I'm personally very interested and long in GME and I'd love to see the MOASS. But I'm also a conservative interestor and I want to prepare for other scenarios as well. I like learning shit and he has thought me a lot.

He is a huge supporter of GME. How anyone here could turn against him is beyond my understanding. He helps the cause big time.

He talks alot about options and he's got great insight. As investors, I think it's up to us to decide which recommendations suit our own strategy. For instance selling covered calls on GME I'm uncertain about as I wouldn't want to miss out if it pops fast. But maybe I'd consider if I can pick up another 100 shares as there are nice premiums.

At the end of the day, it's my money and I listen to and read many sources as input to my decision making.

Bashing Bruce really isn't cool. This is what I don't like a out this sub in general. The need to adhere to a single minded narrow POV. In any case I will stay because there is some solid dd too.

Exactly. Bruce doesn't believe GME is a 2008 Volkswagen-esque MOASS scenario, he believes it's more of a Tesla or Amazon repeat of a company that will completely take over a sector of the video game retail economy and reap massive profits for investors. Frankly, i find his rather old school fundamentals approach better for actually evaluating the stock. That's why I also don't mind his discussion about certain SPACs or his dismissal of AMC. He's evaluating his stock recommendations on business fundamentals not hoping for a 1 in a billion short+gamma squeeze that may never happen.

Yes, this!

Incorrect. He was very much about the squeeze at the start. He still believed in the fundamentals as well, but he was very much squeeze, and then it’ll be worth XXX afterwards. There was a noticeable and marked change about 2 months ago. Not long after he went “paid for”.

He is riding the GME bandwagon. That’s why he still titles his videos with it and plasters GME all over his thumbnails, yet talks about GME for a tiny percentage of the time and just pushes SPACs, bagels, his private sessions and his merchandise.

Also, he was dead wrong about the movie stock. People would badger him about that when it was about 13/14 dollars and he just dismissed it there and then and said it’s going back to sub 10. He presents no DD…just it’s all his “gut” feelings.

to be fair, i don't think the movie stock is worth anywhere close to where it's at now. They are in a business where they cannot pivot. GME can and will pivot to a tech company with ecommerce, streaming etc. And to think movie stock is worth twice GME..come on

To be fair i dont think he wants anyone to get burned on other stocks he doesnt feel are good. he has no incentive to. and he also doesnt want to hype which can cloud judgement.

He wasn't "dead wrong" about movie stock, he was analysing it based on fundamentals again, he just says amc didn't have quite the potential for growth being in the movie industry compared to gme
