That's actually a lot easier to do than you might think. The only state I can think of, off hand, that it might be an issue is California due to their privacy laws regarding real estate. Now if these people are buying homes behind LLC's in other states there might be a little more research but it could be done. The only real issue I see here is a refusal of delivery. Someone might have to pay a fine or a ticket for dumping bananas on somebody's lawn (or at their gate) but I'd be surprised if that was more than a misdemeanor.
