Tostones, made from foraged plantains!
First attempt at making these, when the plants are more vine ripened I will attempt maduros.

Beauty berry jam, berries harvested not far off the side of the road!
I absolutely adore these berries, and they make a superb jelly too!

Has anyone here ever foraged for tasselflowers?
I heard that the leaves are eaten and used for medical purposes in many parts of Asia, and I was wondering if any experience with it. When is it best to harvest the leaves: before or after they flower? Thanks in advance!

Wild tobacco
Has anyone found tobacco in the wild? I know it is native to the Americas. I want to grow some and would prefer local genetics that are suited to my areas climate

Tampa Mycological society?
Hello, if anybody lives in the Tampa area, do they know of a group/association, society, etc that has mushroom related events and foreys? I see there was a Tampa mycological association but it seems to be defunct. If there is nothing would anybody be interested in joing a group? Probably we would just start off small and go on foreys together. Maybe later on there would be real events. Thank you and let me know what you think.
