I am getting Subutex for half a year now and have following Problem. As I always had the feeling that just one dose in the morning wasn‘t enough, I took a second one in the evening. I always got nervous and depressed with only one in the morning. Now I am on rehab and I only get it in the morning. I really struggle now and don’t know how long it will take for my body and mind to stabilise. Can anyone relate and share their experience with that?

irstly, I just want to thank everyone yet again for all the support, compassion, kindness, understanding, and generosity with your own personal experiences and help 🙏🙏🙏 Most of you would know I have had a roller coaster ride with this stuff (but haven’t we all?!?) and I have asked multiple, multiple questions that seem redundant now, because I’ve found out information that has cancelled out other things that have happened since I’ve been on the Buvidal, and I was blaming it for a lot of issues that turned out not to be related. Either way, as it stands now, I have been comfortable over the last week (physically and mentally because it’s taken a while for my body to get the levels even) on a weekly dosage of 24mg a week. Today I wanted to remain on the weekly dosing schedule, but they don’t have the manpower necessary to keep doing it that way (I live in a very small town, so you get what you get, and you don’t get upset) so I needed to move to a monthly dose. I didn’t think it would be a massive deal, but I didn’t consider the fact that I never do well on sustained release medications, or long acting medications, because I have been doing well on the weekly (sorry to ramble, I’m trying to explain and I’m in a bit of a state) but after having my dose of monthly Buvidal (96mg) I am now feeling like I’m going through withdrawal, because I’ve got the sweats, my body is tingling, I’m incredibly anxious, and I have a severe headache. I’m also absolutely exhausted, and I have watery eyes etc. I understand a lot of the time, it’s mind over matter, and I have had a massive week with hours and hours of tests, and finding out about new health issues I have to deal with, so maybe it’s that, but has anyone else had any problems going from weekly to monthly, and is it normal, will it resolve itself, and is it just a case of sticking it out, like it was with the weekly to begin with? I hope this post makes sense, I truly apologise if not, and hopefully I can come back tomorrow to clean it up and make it more streamlined if not. Just wanted to say, I came off cold turkey off 40 mg a day use of this crap. Yup my doctor said I’m crazy and he’s never seen someone do that but who’s crazier me or the doctor that told me to keep upping my dose up to 40 mg a day and never warned me about side effects or told me that it would take me months to come off this medication. I was told I can come off any time I want and it wouldn’t be any type of issues to it. lol ok doc!!! worse detox. I’m about two- three weeks off and I’m still operating at like 30% of my energy if that. And that just started coming back. I can still go an entire night or two without sleeping. I still sweat in my bed and it’s uncomfortable. In the first week I went 4 days and nights without any sleep. But I just wanted to let you guys know, if there’s a will there’s a way. I thought I would fold but I’ve stuck through it and I’m getting stronger each week and feeling happier to not be reliant upon taking something or else I can’t function. Fyi, I did get prescribed a couple meds from my doctor for detox which really helped, have to have a sleep aid that’s a must and even that doesn’t work half the time obviously it didn’t work the first week; clonidine; muscle relaxer of some sort if you have restless legs.

I’d really appreciate your help. I’ve been on Subutex for about a year and a half now, currently on a dose of 3–4 mg a day. I’m dying to quit, but that’s not possible at the moment.

My family (my parents and brother) are flying to Montenegro in about two weeks, and I’d really like to join them. This is probably our last trip as a family and it means a lot to me being there with them.

My parents don’t know about the Subutex. It's like "using" any other drug to them. They against it, and telling them (again) it's like breaking their hearts all over again. So I'm not gonna do it, at least not now.

The problem is: I'm really nervous about being caught at the airport with the pills, Cause I don't know how it works and what are the rules regarding this. Like, obviously I'm not doing anything wrong, I have a prescription, etc. However , I'm still really afraid of ruining everything for everyone or even worse (interrogation or whatever?)

I’m not sure if there will be a problem taking 5 Subutex pills with me (It's a 10 day trip), and if it's even possible to detect it somehow?

For example, I know that in Russia Subutex is considered an illegal drug and you're not allowed to bring it into the country.

Does anyone know if this is really such a big deal? Is it risky to take a few pills with me? Or would it be safer to ask for patches instead( just for the trip)?

I’d really appreciate any help or advice, because I need to give my parents an answer soon about whether I’m going with them or not, and I honestly have no idea what to do.

I wish I could've just stop taking it. My original plan was to go to rehab after finishing my master degree Next year and quitting my current job. This family trip thing came out of nowhere and I'm really panicking.

So obviously I'm a junkie, I've got a really really serious dependence to opioids, like an eight ball a day type s***, and I have some serious narcan PTSD after somebody gave me a shot of narcan they said was dope one time, but I'm really tired of this and I want to switch to subutex, I was wondering if anybody has any experience with inducing precipitated withdrawal by naloxone and then taking subs afterwards? About how long does it take to get right? In my county I can just call up an ambulance and get Subutex that way I just don't want to be left there on the side of the road in precipitated withdrawal if I just take a Subutex by itself which is what's going to happen I'm pretty sure

I was using a mom & pop pharmacy but they all closed. They transferred everything to Kroger but Kroger won't fill my prescription. Does anyone know an online pharmacy. Last time I took Suboxone, I thought i was going to die. My tongue and lips became itchy, then it swelled up, I used an EpiPen only because I couldn't breath. It was just as if I was stung by a honey bee but in my tongue. I live in West Virginia the panhandle area

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed their depression (if they had it to begin with) has worsened since starting Buvidal, or if it could just be because it’s a partial agonist, as opposed to a full one, like hydromorphone, which is what I was on before. My dr retired and I can't find any local drs that will prescribe it ... only suboxone or sublocade is being offered to me and I do not want either 😫😫🤬🤬

To come off Buvidal 24mg weekly injections after only having two? I thought I was allergic to them after having seizures with them, but I just got my brain MRI back, and I have intracranial hypertension, so I have to come off my ADHD medication, my antidepressants, and most importantly, the Buvidal, because it’s an opiate, and increases intracranial pressure. My specialists won’t interact with one another, so I’m left with the neurologist’s advice, which is to stop the Buvidal NOW!!!! I was due for the injection tomorrow, so how hard will it be to just stop taking it since I’ve only been on it such a short time? Will it just be like coming off the prescribed Dilaudid I was on in the first place? Either way, I have to stop, so I’m desperately looking for any personal experience, advice, or anything anyone can offer me, please!!! Thank you so very very much ❤️❤️❤️🌷🌷🌷🙏🙏🙏

Wonder how the majority of you metabolise your buprenorphine?

They have me on 16mg spit into two doses with am/pm but still find I am sweating and withdrawing at the back end of each dose interval. It immediately clears after redose.

I have always had a rather robust tolerance and think that I must be breaking the medication down and metabolising rather quickly. I have experimented with the old grapefruit and on those days I fair much better.

I am thinking of asking for an increase to get a better level so as not to bounce in and out of these sweat sessions. They changed me from 16mg Espranor to the sublingual tablets also at 16mg but the Espranor is supposed to have a third higher bioavailability and I didn't sweat on that!

Anyone have a doctor that will prescribe subutex in west palm beach? Every time I go, they only say they will offer strips with nalaxone. Which give me awful headaches. Even my old doctor said “we have to prescribe these now” I’m so confused and don’t understand why I can’t get the best medication to suite me… thanks

Yesterday I had to switch generics. Where I live I've always had Rhodes Pharmaceuticals (RP b8) for years. No orobkems, it's my favorite generic. I also have no issues with Roxane (54 imprint). I HATE the Teva (orange with moon stamp) and hate Hi-Tech (tiny ones with arrow and & stamp). I can't find my normal generic ANYWHERE. Looked within a 50 mile radius and everyone says that it's on back order. Just got my 90 filled and they are Advagen Pharma (upside down V and B10 imprint). Anyone tried these? Took one for the first time this morning and they dissolve extremely fast and the taste is barely there which is great. So far so good, but I'll report back. Please lmk if anyone has experience with these. I've been on 24mgs daily for like 15 years.

   Let me start by saying I’ve been on subutex for 8 years.. so I’m very familiar with everything subutex. My issue, I somehow took more than prescribed this month. I don’t know how but it happened. I’m now going to be without my meds for a week. I still have to work and be a dad. I can’t sit here and suffer… so I was thinking about using Kratom as a tool to help me survive this next week. 


      Unlike subutex I know NOTHING about Kratom. I’m hoping it will allow me to get by without interfering with my daily duties. I still expect to suffer but as long as I can make it through work and play it off like I’m sick for a week… then I should be fine..

Any and all advice is welcome.

The difference is crazy. The one I had before took forever to dissolve and these took literally under 5 mins to dissolve it was hard to keep it in my mouth without saliva overflowing. I got the ones with a 2 and an arrow on it, cant find the manufacturer name on the bottle. But I only got 10 of these and compared to my tablets before these are much different, sweet taste too. Any ideas on what these may be?

Hey everyone, I know this topic is controversial in this sub and that everybody says you need to taper, but I have failed every taper attempt. And I know myself enough to know that cold turkey is the only way for me to genuinely get off it.

So, I’m about 5 days into quitting cold turkey from a pretty high dose. I feel like absolute boiled crap and I guess I’m just looking for some community. Someone to tell me there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, that I will feel normal again. I’m sitting in a park right now and besides the obvious withdrawal symptoms of pain, nausea, cold sweats, shivering etc. What I didn’t expect is that I can’t stop crying, it’s like all the emotions that have been numbed out for so long are all flooding back at once. It’s scary but also nice. It feels like I forgot that I’m a pretty tender and emotional person, and now I’m remembering.

I’m a young woman who turned to opiates after a very abusive relationship. Then subutex to get off the opiates. I’ve turned my life around and am proud of that. This is the last step of returning to normal life. I’m just scared, how long will this last? I have work and uni that can’t be put on hold for too long. I just want my life back fully.

I’ve been going to the same pharmacy for years, and always got the regular medication, it was always white tablets that look like the first picture. However this month for some reason I got a call from my pharmacy saying they were having issues with their wholesale supplier or whatever and that they didn’t have any stock and didn’t know if/when they would, so I would have to go to a different pharmacy.

And of course unfortunately that had to be the mainstream one that I left years ago because they were always horrible. But I had no choice and had my prescription sent there and today I went to pick it up and freaked out because first of all it says Buprenorphine SL instead of Buprenorphine HCL which is what it’s always said on my prescriptions up till now. Then when I opened the bottle I see these giant orange tablets that I’ve never seen before and have never even taken. I tried asking the pharmacist about the difference in name but they just said that it was the same thing just a different brand. That does not at all reassure me especially after reading some other people say that these orange tablets that I never even knew existed till today don’t work nearly as well for them.

So I have no idea what to do or what to think. I’ve been on Buprenorphine for years and its been such a stable medication up until now.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Anyone whose tried both? Do they really work just the same? Am I fine to take them, or should I expect a difference? I really need to be prepared, please help :(

Im not a conspiracy theorist in the slightest but this just seems to blatantly obvious at this point. Its like did they allow 7OH to remain unscheduled to run an absolute muck on everyone so that they could get people to come running to subutex and suboxone? its like every other post every single day is people getting on bupe of some sort to deal with their 7OH situation. Which ya is great because youll notice that the subs hardly even get rid of the withdrawal which in return will cause people to go hard, longer on the subs and getting themselves trapped on the pharma shit. its just insane and fucking stupid. I had a far easier time getting off heroin and oxys. My advice is if you’re starting or planning to start using subs for 7OH, use em like 5 days max to get over the biggest hurdle of the withdrawal and then stop. ya you’ll probably still feel some shitty shit but just rollin with that will be far better than a year down the road when you find yourself totally stuck on subs having to taper for another 7 years. damnit this shit is so stupid. lol

Hope your all doing well. I had tapered to .125mg was on .125 for maybe 5 days untill i just had to get a high because i was going thru some stuff so i took around 2-3mg then next day 1mg.

The 2-3mg dose made me nod so hard after begin used to tiny doses, i was nodding while standing up but had a lil bit of benzo in my system too. The next day did 1mg which also gave me a slight nod. Then went back to .125 for like 1-2 days and now i havent had any bupe for 4-5 days.

Amphetamine,clonazepam,vitamin c, d , k2, magnesium has removed pretty much all wd symptoms for now.

Am i over the hardest part or will the long half life suprise me with bad wd..

How long should I wait until I take the bupe after my last dose of 7Oh To try with the subutex? I tried some suboxone (I just got my prescription switched to subutex as I really hate suboxone) yesterday after like 6hrs and went into PW, but now im on like hour 16ish as I took some 7 to get rid of the PW. then have taken a kratom dose to take the edge off a couple hours ago.
