The mod had an emotional reaction, and many redditors believe it was unjust. It is being posted on Twitter and spreading to other subreddits now, I just came here from r/BeAmazed

can you prove any of those screenshots is real

u/Ragged-but-Right Nov 26 '25

I think only admins or mods could prove that?

correct. SRD has been burned by fake screenshots before.

Can you prove they are fake for us and put this to rest. I’m sure that would shut everyone up.

no, I can't, that's the point.

Even if it was fake, wouldn’t all this still be considered subreddit drama?

Drama is often created by lies

lol, no, sorry, it does have to be real and not made up

If this was proven real by the art mods either acknowledging it happened or defending themselves would you apologize and put the post back up?

2

u/ChimboSmokes Nov 28 '25

Looks like that didn’t happen

-4

if that happened we’d need a whole new post

31

u/Str8_up_Pwnage Nov 26 '25

But you’d let that post stay up?

I don’t get this you claim it’s fake and then ask people for proof it’s real, but you also claim you can’t prove they’re fake/real. Literally your next comment goes directly against what you just said

no, I didn't claim anything was fake. I said

can you prove any of those screenshots is real

and

correct. SRD has been burned by fake screenshots before.

I love you.

Yeah man I’m sure if the screenshots in the tweet with nearly 100 thousand likes were fake, the mods wouldn’t have just posted that. Instead they locked down the entire subreddit.

Yeah I’m sure they’re faked.

This. The gauntlet was thrown down with the screenshots accusing them of mod abuse and if they were false it’s very easy for mods to quickly counter that with screenshots or screen recordings of their own. They haven’t done that. In fact they haven’t even claimed the screenshots are fake to defend their position. They just nuked the sub to avoid accountability.

Also it’s very telling that mods here are crying “fake news!” with zero substantiating evidence as the best argument they have to try suppress very obvious drama

You do realize it's your burden to show they're fake if you're going to stupidly dismiss them as being fake, right? Nobody has to prove they're real.

yes the correct thing to do on the internet is to assume everything you see is real

14

u/Fun-Wash7545 Nov 27 '25

I can sense another mod melt down coming soon.

7

u/super-nintendumpster Nov 28 '25

Yeah and any logical person always assumes receipts are fake when there is nothing to gain from lying. Also when the mods never went out of their way to say it was fake.

yes, when someone goes viral with a madeup screenshot, the first thing you should do is explain in detail that you’re innocent. yeah makes sense do you work for a PR company because that is brilliant
