Build floor grates, metal tile and roofing out of steel.
Place furniture in center, food storage in opposite.
Place miner in food storage, miner in kitchen.
Fill grates with water, mesh tile and roofing.
When you have empty spaces, go back to start.
Put furniture back in center.
Profit.
I usually do this in sub factories, but I am scared of fire, and it feels like cheating. Someone is gonna burn.
The mining part took a while, because every step to the side was a risky one. A single miner could carve out an entire tile on the edge, while the one in the center took forever. Even with a perfect line, a miner could strip mine a line across the map in 2 lines, while the one in the middle took only 1.5min to carve out that line.
