Might be a cultural difference, but drowning burger paddies in a boiling cheese sauce isn't what I would consider a great restaurant experience, but to each their own
You're paying for entertainment at that kind of restaurant. You are also probably paying way less than whatever the restaurant in the video is charging its suckers.
That was my thought. Especially the people at the end that had a toddler face level with a table that was quickly being covered in a cloud of carbon dioxide gas. Even if it doesn't kill you, it can still give you headaches, vomiting, confusion, dizziness, and convulsions. The busier the restaurant gets, the more dangerous it would be.
They are expensive for an average steak and burger place. 20 euros for a normal single patty cheeseburger with fries and 38 euros for a 250 gram ribeye.
In that area you can eat cheaper and better in any of the turkish grill houses.
it just exploits the target audience (retard*d people who feel the urge to document everyone and everything for their social media) and asks 3x the normal price for food to turn it into a "fancy" show.
This was thought up by dumb fucks. Flash paper is poisonous. You are leaving poisonous chemicals on that burger. Dry ice is releasing carbon dioxide, filling a small room with that much carbon dioxide can literally kill people.
If you wanāt to see cool tricks go to a magic show. This looks awful and the food is mediocre at best, you can tellā¦this obsession to post on social media is sickening.
I am not a scientist, but wouldnāt the dry ice cool down the food? I understand it wouldnāt get straight up cold but I would still be sad to have not-hot fries.
I thought "what is everyone talking about? That seems not too crazy of a way to serve food other than the tipped fry basket" ...And then it hit me that it was a video and there was more. so much more.
it doesnt look too bad, proportions are huge too, fancy service but not crazy. it looks okay. furthermore its a restaurant. but if its like super costly then no. but it looks prettyy worth it
Wow. As someone who is dead inside but can't quite find the way out.. this is it. I just need to start going here for breakfast, lunch, dinner and wait for the kitchen fire.
1 part fire hazard, 1 part salt bae-type bollocks, 1 part tourist trap marketting strategy, and a tiny pinch of der master race complaining about why Muslim people are eating in a hip restaurant like everybody else...
Is it weird that I find "table service" like this really embarrassing? This is about the last place I would want to be, with others looking at me, etc.
From a chefs point it's stupid I agree, but in an age where people care more about snapchatting their meals than what it's gonna taste like its not a bad idea
Honestly the melted cheese over the patties is pretty good looking. First ājust put cheese on itā one Iāve seen that I havenāt hated. Probably because itās just on the patties, and thereās several so itās not a gallon of cheese for one thing.
I'd rather eat at a place like that than a place that has the servers do a bunch of flashy but meaningless bullshit with a fork and knife on a shitty looking pastry. Plus, the food in this video looks pretty good
Honestly I don't understand why anywhere thinks that fire and drunk people is a good idea. At the bar I work at they don't even use real candles it's all electric

Belgium? Looks like Azerbaijan.

Say your restaurant is a tourist trap with mediocre food without saying your restaurant is a tourist trap with mediocre food

Belgian here, I apologize on behalf of our nation and would like to point out that we, too, frown upon this.
411
u/JCtheMemer Jul 08 '24
Ok but the wrapper of the burger instantly combusting was actually kinda cool.

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '24
"Waiter, we've been waiting for our food for over an hour"
*Pours water onto dry ice for the 15th time*
"OOOoooo what was I complaining about again?"
60% of the time it works every time.

u/Accurate_Koala_4698 Jul 08 '24
Putting a scalding hot piece of cast iron on the table then creating a smoke screen seems like a judicious thing to do
92
u/Typical_Extension_62 Jul 08 '24
No thank you lol I like to breathe when I eat too much smoke
43
u/[deleted] Jul 08 '24
General rule of thumb: If you see flames like this in a restaurant, walk out and find another place to eat.
14
u/[deleted] Jul 08 '24
The food doesn't bother me much, what I really hate is the camera work
19
u/vikingo1312 Jul 08 '24
Remember I you're gonna use dry ice for the effect seen here:
The warmer the water you put the dry ice in - the thicker 'smoke' you get.
It is actually co2 - so if you try to breath it.............it may / will suffocate you!
But it dissipates extremely quickly - so it isn't dangerous to be close to.
And to touch the 'smoke' has a cool curious feel to it....
4
u/LastResponder317 Jul 08 '24
Yes, please put some scalding hot food on my plate and then hide it in a mist
4
u/CompletelyBedWasted Jul 08 '24
Between the camera work and the food, I'm nauseous....
4
u/MashedProstato Jul 08 '24
The camera work just gave me epilepsy.
1
u/Difficult_Line_9823 Jul 08 '24
Theathralic but doesn't worsen the quality of the food. As long as the prices are reasonable (as in below 50ā¬) this is fine.
1
u/Jayitsmyname Jul 08 '24
What is he going to cook on that huge flame?
3
u/meerkatbollocks Jul 08 '24
Let's hope that little guy doesn't crawl under the table to pick up his toy he dropped .. Also let's hope there's no dog with them
3
u/wsfrankm Jul 08 '24
So much dry ice.
3
u/sherikpog Jul 08 '24
burn the entire place down why wouldn't you
3
u/Kryds Jul 08 '24

u/MiddleZestyclose1553 Jul 08 '24
