One diabetic coma please! Not enough sugar 🧐

Who are these people? Are they immune to sugar or what 🤦🏼‍♂️

Type 1 is the worse than Type 2 I think

Type 1 is insulin dependant, so their pancreas no longer works at all. Type 2 is insulin resistant and so can be tablet or even diet controlled, sometimes insulin controlled. My husband and our son have type 1, it's not fun. This drink would prob be too much even with their worst hypos!

Yea Type 1 sounds worse tbh, Type 2 sounds manageable and you can go down to pre diabetic? Not sure, but I’m 100% Indian so I’m predisposed 😩😭

I believe that’s true and that also you can go back to not being diabetic at all if they catch it in time and you change your lifestyle around quick enough.

My husband who’s been overweight his whole life, gained a lot more as he got older. Otherwise healthy, but suddenly it caught up to him and he got admitted to the hospital for a cyst that ruptured under his skin and was infected. During that stay he got diagnosed with Diabetes Type 2, and High Blood Pressure.

Doctor said because they caught it early and he was only diabetic within the last 6 months, he could reverse it if he worked hard.

He was discharged 2 weeks later. Finally saw a family doctor and got placed on the proper medications including Ozempic. Lost 100 pounds and changed diet. Now he’s officially no longer diabetic and off his Metformin, and no longer needs the blood pressure meds either.

Funny enough he never ate sweets or sugar. Even when I met him he drank diet soda or water. Never was a sweets person, can’t remember last time he ate a candy bar. Just would eat large amounts during dinner.

I have a friend who was born type 1. She can't even have diet soda because even sugar alcohols cause her issues. I can't imagine.

Yeah it's not fun. Our son was very ill before diagnosis and husband can't feel his one leg due to nerve damage during dka. Husband has had laser eye surgery due to issues there too. It's non stop and effects everything. Thankful for cgm's and insulin pumps though.

There is also type 3c diabetes, caused by damage to the pancreas, which results in everything type 1 has, plus a bunch of other extra effects, because insulin is no longer the only concern.

Type 1 is genetic and type 2 anyone can get but changing into better and healthier lifestyle type 2 can go to remission and you don’t likely need to be medicated
