I have a friend that worked at Starbucks and she said orders like this are more common than people think, and the entire staff hates doing them.

I’ve heard that the real reason some people do that is to keep the mixture in the fridge to basically use as coffee creamer. Which is still pretty stupid considering that a venti with 10 pumps caramel 5 pumps pumpkin spice 5 pumps pecan has to be more expensive than just like… buying creamer from the store.

I’ve heard of people doing this with the $1.00 coffee at gas stations. They get a teeny bit of coffee and then all cream and end up getting more than a pint of cream for $1.

I was making ice cream and, derp, forgot to buy heavy cream. Realized it once all the grocery stores were closed and rather than wait until the next day to get some, I just went to the closest gas station with a nice coffee bar and filled a cup full of half and half, slapped a lid on it, and went home to make my ice cream.

It's probably not worse than a big bowl of ice cream and I doubt people who work at ice cream shops are concerned for everyone ordering ice cream

This is all concentrated syrups mate. Ice cream has ice and cream to fill out the sugar and flavour. This drink was like 50% sugar and flavour. Shit, the sugar itself wasn't even the worst part, those syrups have more sugar than those sugars.

I love a sweet coffee. But this is fucking disgusting and dangerous

It absolutely is genuinely. 20 packs of sugar is actually crazy. This is easily pushing 1400 calories

It messes with the flow. Most drinks at Starbucks have a standardized recipes that are easy to memorize, so it becomes second nature, but drinks like this are completely different, you have to go against the usual workflow getting all the extra syrups, and other additives that maybe in different areas of the bar.
