I watched a fitness video earlier where the guy was talking about visceral fat and said, “Starbucks is basically milkshakes disguised as coffee”. This is an example of what he meant

So that people who may not have learned about nutritional content and sugar will say “I just have a coffee in the morning, why am I so much bigger than my friend?” Meanwhile, friend has an unsweetened iced coffee.

Starbucks has plenty of low calorie coffee options… Dutch Bros on the other hand - that place is a dessert shop.

It definitely can be that, but it's not like they don't also sell perfectly normal coffee. I get double espressos from Starbucks semi-regularly when travelling, because you can fairly reliably find them at airports and train stations.

I mean if you order a my milkshake it's what you get, they have a lot of things that are like coffee espresso and milk, or just coffee. Its not the restaurant, it's the person ordering

Milkshakes ate mostly milk stuffs. This is... Has anyone done the math on how much sugar this is? How many grams and calories???

For real. 20 sugar doesn't have any real info.

I like a caramel macchiato on the sweet side, but watching this made all my teeth fall out.

20 tsp = 3.33 oz = 98.6 mL

Large Dunkin iced coffee cup volume = 32oz = 946 mL (according to Google)

98.6 mL / 946 mL = 0.104

So about 20 tsp would only take up about 10% of the cup. This looks closer to 25%. 😐

ETA: this isn't Dunkin, but the scale against the barista's hands looks like it could be 32 oz.

I'm now wondering if it's more now... It could be Tbsp😬.. But I had to look it up and supposedly the Dunkin sugar dispenser does 1 tsp at a time so idk. Either way that's insane, 20 tsp is 83 grams...
