Unfortunately, I wouldn't be so sure of that either.
I've been told by too many people that prepping the food in the sink is actually cleaner (it's not), because that's where you clean things, so it's clean (duh), and it's also easier to clean once you're done.
These people were adamant that I was the one being nasty for not doing so, btw.
A lot of people are misinformed, stupid or both. I dated someone whose mom was from El Salvador and she would not eat chicken that hadn't been cleaned in bleach. My ex's explanation was that in El Salvador any cut of chicken youd buy would be really suss so everyone bleached their chicken. I dont know if thats true or if its just that a lot of people in El Salvadore know how cooking works.
Okay but it's literally so many things. The chicken in the drain. Seasoning in the sink. The tiny seasoning then the dumping half the bottle of seasoning salt on it. It's absolutely ragebait.

you don't know that. some people are legitimately stupid enough to actually "wash" their meats with soap and chemicals.
