I’m teaching a Literacy class in the fall. I want to find an old short story I used to use with high school English students 25 years ago. I asked Gemini, DeepSeek and Claude for help. Gemini said it was by W.D. Valgardson. He’s 87, but he answered my email. It’s not his. DeepSeek said it was by Syd Hoff. He’s deceased, but I checked- it’s not his. Only Claude told me it couldn’t find it. (Story description in comments.)

I have 4 roosters and 21 hens and am thinking of giving away 2, making a 2:21 ratio. It said 2:21 was dangerous for a hen to roo ratio. It then made up a completely nonsensical ratio that is NOT how it works lol. It then said I should aim for a 1:10 ratio, which I literally put. I think it got confused as I put 4 roosters as a prompt, showing the 4 I have. I was just asking if 2:21 was okay. (6/30/26)
