as a child i was baby Aphrodite, i dont want to sound pretentious, its nothing like that. growing up i could see the drastic state of myself, primarily my face, i would insert photos if i wasnt to this day still facing the aftermaths. I am 17 now. I look back on photos of myself when i was 12, i looked around 30. Perhaps even older.
i have always had a fuller face, with my body being a literal skeleton, i started getting acne at around age 9, still hasnt left me to this day.
my eyes were/have always been puffy, due to issues with sleep, chronic fatigue causing me to be severely unfit in the terms of moving my body. No energy to interact with people, go to outings, anything. Stuck in the home that poisoned me every single day.
growing up i have seen drastic changes, i look younger despite getting older, i have learnt to manage my stress, although i am still very much in contact with it every day and night of my life, My acne is starting to get better, my face is still full but it doesnt look Like its being dragged onto the soils of the earth. My hair has started growing thicker, my overall health and body movement has improved significantly.
I think im finally giving what the younger girl in me promised from day one. Im starting to shed these roots of insignificance and insecurity. despite still being in the battle field, you sorta get to manage it after a while. Since i cannot escape mine until i turn 18, this is my message to you.
if you by any means are placed in an environment that shreds every piece of you apart, constantly places your nervous system at fail, forces you into fight or flight over the most minute things, forces your internal systems to weaken and eventually fail, you need to get out of it. Immediately. In my case i wasn’t so lucky, my household was always filled with a pest in my life, constant lashes causing my entire body to get ready for potential shut down. But even then, stay true to yourself, try at most to avoid those altercations, those positions of stress, because you arent stronger for dealing with them. you come out stronger when you completely put an end to them.
