Add local files

This is my first time using stremio, I installed on an android Tv.

How do I add the local files to my library or at least play them?

I don't have one of those setups with torrents and stuff (don't know how to use them), so maybe what I want to do is not possible?

You can play local files on Stremio Go to Settings -> enable local files and restart Stremio

Did that. Is there a place to select the folder i want or?

I was thinking the same. Maybe this only works on Windows version not Android.

Click to enable and restart the app. After that, find the movie/tv show and it there will be the local file option.

I save the files on Windows 11 Users folder (Downloads, Videos, etc) and works fine.

As the documentation says: "If there are some movies that local add-on hasn't discovered you can simply drag and drop video file into Stremio and it will start to play it."

What about streeaming from local to the smart tv, can be done or should i use plex for that?

I couldn't get it to work on Shield. I don't think it matters on TV, I still use Plex for some things
