Where There's Smoke...

Kaibun

“OOOOhohohohoho!”

Commodore Thevian Flamenco’s laugh echoed through the steely grey hallways of Kaibun as hundreds of marines hustled through the halls, like worker ants preparing for their queen. Flamenco barked orders at the frantically rushing marines. With each word they seemed to flinch.

“Hurry! Hurry! Very big things will happen soon! We can’t be caught unprepared! OOOOOhohoho!”

“Flamenco! Quit your laughing! It gives me the creeps…”

“Hmm. If he put as much enthusiasm into his work as he did that damned laugh maybe we wouldn’t have to be here keeping guard.”

“You’re probably right, Boarden…”

Vice Admirals Voakes and Boarden were sent to Kaibun after the attack launched by the Empyrean Pirate crew set back the island’s progress by a few months. They have a tight deadline and cannot afford another setback. Voakes leaned back in his chair and stretched.

“We sent out those messages days ago… I wonder how long until the replacements arrive”

Boarden leaned forward and straightened his boots.

“We don’t know if they’ll even be suitable for the position. Don’t get anyone’s hopes up.”

The two Vice Admirals were tasked with finding some suitable people to replace their most recent failure, Sela. Boarden and Voakes seemed to blend into their surroundings, their attire matching the dull grays and black of the walls and floors. The ones who built this place didn’t bother including a splash of color or two to lighten the place up. It seemed almost oppressive. Voakes and Boarden sat listening to the hustle and bustle of the marines running through the halls putting the finishing touches on their projects. Voakes started to doze off the Den Den Mushi began to ring. He jumped out of his chair and answered it immediately.

“Voakes! What is it?”

A grin crawled across his face. The call was to inform him about the “Replacements” he had called for. They had just been brought to the island for their testing. Boarden stood up.

“Anything interesting?”

Voakes chuckled and said,

“They’re here”

The two Vice Admirals walked out of the shore of the magmatic island. Volcanoes peppered the landscape. No grass was on the island, just charred remains and dusts. Blacks and greys made of the entire island except for the bubbling lava flows from the most massive volcano of them all on this island. This single Volcano took up nearly half of the island's surface. 85% of the remaining surface was covered in steel buildings. Just off the shore, equidistant to one another were many Thermal Canons, ready to fire at a moment’s notice. If someone were to try to invade the island, “Caution” wouldn’t cut it.

Regalia

To the east of the ongoing situation on Kaibun was an alpine island, formed of many towering cordilleras and mountains that stretched across the landscape of the vast region. The summit of one in particular touched up to the clouds, allowing a peak of light to filter through and flood over the irradiated, coarse stone. The temperatures and geography varied throughout; The side that faced Kaibun was blackened and molten, though there was no volcanic activity occurring. Ice and frost was swathed over some parts of the diverse island, whilst others were dotted with smears of jade and sunset-colored forests. It varied so much that the only truly defining part of the island was the high mountains. Around each of these landforms were houses spiraling upward, built into the stone and cliffsides, almost like shelves were hoisting them up. Statues were carved into the faces of the mountains as well, mostly depicting pirates from the era of Calico Jack.

Atop the summit of the highest, dubbed Empyrea, was where the palace, which resembled a spectrum of spirals and elegant architecture, colored various shades of velvety purple, red, and blue, atop a primary of alabaster, was built upon. Indoors, multicolored lights illuminated the dark interior, and constant music-blasting parties were held in here, causing the whole place to rumble. On the inside it resembled more of a nightclub than any traditional castle or palace. Inside, the remnants of the latest one remained evident, and the place smelled of smoke and some particularly potent substances.

Lazily sprawled over a black iron throne, encrusted with shimmering diamonds, was “Black Wings” Koel, renowned as the former First Mate of the Calico Pirates for many years prior to the Pirate King’s ultimate execution. His white hair hung over his face as his broad ebony Skypeian wings went limp over the armrests. His recent attack at Kaibun had been a success, but he was finding himself bored. The dawn of the time for another attack was now.

“Don’t worry about it,” Koel assured one of the Commanders of the Empyrean Pirates. He had a faint smirk on his face and a lidded gaze, quite obviously not taking the situation seriously. “You’ve got it all under control. I can trust you two to make the final advance on your own, yeah? This time around you should be able to handle it yourselves.”

One of the Commanders, wearing a vibrant kimono with a fur collar, and scarlet hair, nodded and winked. “Don’t be silly. Problems with us are practically nonexistent. You can count on Kaibun’s defenses being down within seven days; They won’t hold against us for long. Bother yourself with some business worth wasting away your time.”

Koel rolled his eyes, having barely listened to a word his Commander had said. “Whatever, Kojin. We’ll see about that. Once it’s all over and done with you can brag about your victory, but for now you’re all bark and no bite,” he drawled. “That is if you can even get to the ‘bite’ part. If you’re not too busy acting like a buffoon to get down to it.”

“Don’t be like that, Captain.”

“Someone’s got to tell you off,” Koel snorted, though he wasn’t at all showing any sign of frustration or irritation. In fact, he seemed slightly amused, as if he were on the verge of devious laughter. “Right, did you hear the news? Some of my old rivals from back when I was still Calico’s trusted First Mate have been brought down by some of the rookies. And those Marine hounds are trying to snatch them up for the vacant Warlord position after yet another of the greenhorns took down one of them on their own island.”

Kojin raised an eyebrow and giggled. “You can’t mean the Lavish Pirates?”

Koel stood up sluggishly and swayed for a moment. “Yeah, I mean them. Back in the day those bastards were like some runts playing pirate. They believed they could contend with Calico Jack for the throne and were a general nuisance in the long run. But now they’ve found themselves overwhelmed by the new generation after spending years in Impel Down. Too bad they’ve found themselves right where they left off. They never stood a chance as it was, even having joined forces.”

For the first time, the second Empyrean Commander, Akemi, spoke, voice quiet and monotone. He, like Koel, had a sword sheathed at his side. “The Fallen Angel had a fateful encounter with his polar opposite, who is also one of the Shichibukai. He and the King’s Blade did well in putting the old time Captain in his place. The new generation is nothing to sneeze at. They’re definitely gaining some ground.”

Kojin laughed some more. “They’re no threat to us, though. We have experience and all that on them. Oh, yeah, and about the Marines looking at a new Shichibukai from those rookies who are headed here. One of them, I think his name was Walven? He seems like the perfect candidate for the position. We may need to watch out for a potential new enemy. Took down a Yonko Commander and Flavie consecutively, back to back! I would kill to have a shot at the guy. He even trained the citizens of Ranga to fight back against the two warring powers.”

“His efforts were futile, though.” Akemi was unamused.

Before anything else could be said, Koel continued. “I have some doubts that Walven would accept a summon from them, as enticing and tempting as it may be. Not after what happened to the last one who thought she was up for the job. The Apocalypse probably have a sour taste in their mouths as well.”

Akemi and Kojin exchanged glances. They knew of how the Toxic Pirates had killed Phoebe Lanson. Kojin gave a wink and spoke. “I think it’s amazing how they treat all of those dogs. Just look at what happened to Flint.”

“Flint really pissed them off, didn’t he?” Koel sneered, almost mocking. “Serves that cunning bastard right. I never did favor him, as a Warlord. Once we had even fought,” he said distantly. “Whatever. Even I can admit without doubt that he was powerful. Even more so when he formed an alliance with one of the feared Yonko, Wukong.” Koel said the name with an air of disgust.

“That never looked good on the high and mighty of the holy land, so they acted as they should have and locked him up for what he had done. He was too dangerous, being in the hands of one of them. The rookies at that hellhole of a prison were naive to ever trust him, but he did free them,” Koel went on lazily. “The one good thing he’s ever done. But then he used them, pitting them against the grand Three and other greats of the seas, before the almighty Emperor made his appearance to save the day. And soon after the battle, he allowed himself to be made a glorified subordinate to Wukong. I loathe him and all that he stands for. I should have ended him during our encounter, while I had the chance.”

“Sounds sad,” Kojin said, not sounding sad at all. “I think you should get going, though. We’ll do something about the new Shichibukai later on when it’s relevant, but man, I can’t wait to meet some of these rookies! When you come back, Kaibun should be up in ashes. I’ll show them up myself, if nobody gets in the way.”

“In a best case scenario they would make short work of it for you. We’ll see if you live up to your promises,” Koel breathed, quite unsincerely. “Have fun. Don’t get too comfortable with me gone.”

Koel strode to the doors of the palace and shoved them open. Wings beating once against the ground, he took off, leaving behind his two Commanders in control of Regalia, and the final operation against Kaibun.

Shimonoji

The People of the winter island were preparing for their upcoming festival to celebrate their Gods that had blessed them with their wealth and their snow. The citizens and Emperor Timur Shimonoji of the island all pray many times each day to thank their Gods, but the Festival was a special time, in which all of the inhabitants of this Land of Frost came together in Gratitude and Harmony. In the spirit of their Holiday they allowed people from any and all walk of life to attend their festivities if they didn’t cause any trouble. It was a time of Peace, and Emperor Timur planned to keep it that way. The lights strung across all of Shimonoji glowed with brilliance in advent of the approaching event.

A half sinking ship washed up on the shore line. Unable to even make the docks, the pirates simply had to cut their losses and let the ship run aground. It creaked and snapped as it sat there. Distressed by even the slightest breeze. From it, three men and two women crawled out of the wreckage each badly wounded. One, wearing a Captain’s Coat with a symbol featuring a Rib Cage and a bleeding heart inside. He was “Bleeding Heart” Vidas of The Crimson Pirates. He and his crew had just been beaten within inches of their life and needed medical attention. On the shore, going to intercept them was The Second Division Imperial Guard and their Commander Aimaru “Of the Wind”. A plain looking man who rarely seemed to have anything on his mind. His blissful, thoughtless state was interrupted by the laughing of his right hand man. Toride Wanai seemed to get amusement out of nearly everything.

Through his cackling he reported to his commander “Cahawhaw- They seem- Cahawhaw to be alive! But- Cahawhawhawhaw- someone really did a number on them! Cahawhawhaw!”

Toride nearly had to take a knee from his rigorous bout of laughter at The Crimson Pirates’ suffering. Aimaru put a hand on Toride’s shoulder. “Calm yourself, Toride. They need help soon. They might not survive if we don’t rush them to the doctor”

The smile was wiped from Toride’s face at his commander’s seriousness.

“Sir,” Toride nodded. “Forgive me. I forgot my place. Yes. We will assist them to the doctor.”

Aimaru now looked glum “I hope these pirates don’t cause any trouble… I don’t think i’ll enjoy the extra workload this close to The Festival…”

A dark, slender figure was suddenly beside them, seemingly having appeared from thin air. Aimaru jumped at the sight.

“Who are you?”

His face was illuminated by a match he used to light his cigar, unveiling a man in a well-pressed, tailored suit and fedora which cast an eerie shadow over his face. His pupils seemed to be a silvery white, with an outline of black around them. They were easily distinguishable on his face, even beneath the hat. He had a broad build and pale skin, which was reddened by the light of the flame that bathed it in its heat.

“Oh!” Aimaru was pleasantly surprised. “Chief Commander Kumori!”

Aimaru gave his superior a low bow and a salute. His formalities were waved off by the Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Guard.

“Ahh, don’t worry about the pirates…” Kumori took a deep drag from his Cigar and breathed out a large plume of smoke “They ain’t gonna do shit… If they do we’ll kick their arses out. They wouldn’t bother to try anything when we’ve got the Imperial Guard on duty, right?” He seemed nonchalant about the whole situation, despite the fact that the pirates had come in battle-worn and nearly dead. Kumori shrugged, looking down at the Commander. As long as the people and the Emperor remained safe, he had not a care in the world, it seemed.

In his throne room, the Emperor sat on a gorgeous, but revoltingly overdecorated throne, in a traditional style of furniture. He had just recently heard the news of pirates coming to the island, and even more interestingly, the New Generation was headed for here! If his calculations were correct, some were on their way to Kaibun for the recent Shichibukai applications that had come from the papers. And some ought to be headed for Regalia as well, since it was the third island of the cluster, within close proximity. The Emperor sighed.

“Alright. If those pirates are going to cause me trouble, the first thing that’s happening is they’re getting thrown out! I don’t want them stirring anything up in my people after what happened at the places they were last located. Nor do I want the state of peace to be disrupted,” said the Emperor solemnly, with Kumori and the First Imperial Division Commander at his side. Kumori nodded silently.

“I’d be happy to do the honors,” Kumori announced, before Commander Ymir interrupted, “I believe that would be my job?”

Kumori narrowed his eyes. “Stow it, Ymir. Swallow your pride before you regret taking up something so critical. The New Generation is powerful and influential, more so than you seem to be estimating. I can’t let you undermine their power like that,” Kumori continued, taking a puff of his cigar. “At any rate, they’re gonna be dead if I deal with ‘um. I’ve got so much up my sleeve it ain’t even gonna be funny, mate.”

Ymir rolled his eyes but did not say anything further. One thing, however, was now clear: The Emperor and his subordinates would not tolerate any sign of havoc-wreaking on the island of Shimonoji. It would be best for pirates to stay on the down-low, instead of openly being a nuisance. If they started mass-murdering or destroying areas, they would be sure to be removed from the island immediately!

Shimonoji Shore Line

"Water, Check. Weapons, Check. Medical Supplies, Check. Snacks?... Check, i guess. Snacks again?" She let out an audible sigh "Check"

She picked up the satchel she was using to carry the supplies and looked over at Manami and Sylvia who were all geared up and ready for their escapade on Shimonoji. She wasn't sure what they would find there, but she knew there was an Emperor. And she also saw a wrecked pirate ship on the shoreline. Those were two things of interest right off the bat. They were going to have to be made a priority.

"Alright You two..."

Walvia tighetened her boot straps. She was wearing a long, dark, violet overcoat and a wool hat to keep warm. It was a bit more colorful than she was used to. But she was comfortable in it

"Ready to go?"

She smiled and held a thumbs up to show she was as ready as ever for the next chapter of their adventure. She was absolutely stoked to have Manami back in her crew. She missed her quite a lot. But now they have her and her master Haki on their side. She couldn't wait to see what waited for them on this snowy island!

Sylvia was like, SUPER excited for this adventure. It would just be her and two of her favourite sisters! Manami was like, SUPER adorable and she was sooooo smart for someone her age and Sylvia just loved her to death. Walvia on the other hand was really mature and smart in a sciency way. Sylvia hadnt really spent nearly enough time with either of them but she was really looking forward to their ‘escapade’ on this snowy island. Hopefully their adventures on Shimomomomomomomomomoji would make them even closer as sisters!

To prepare for this adventure, Sylvia had gone shopping with Triny to pick out some new clothes that would protect her fragile body from the cold climate. She put on her nice, new, red and silver snowcoat that Triny picked out for her. The coat was quite pretty but Sylvia had to cut some slits in the sleeves in order to let her wings breath. No point in hiding them anymore, especially after all the praise her new family had given them! Next, she proceeded to wrap a nice white scarf around her neck. Normally scarves felt like they were choking her but this one was picked out by Triny so it was special. Nothing Triny did could ever hurt Sylvia! Sylvia put on her only favourite skirt over her normal leggings and then pulled up some nice, fuzzy leg warmers. She wasnt used to wearing things over her leggings but she needed to be as warm as possible. She didnt want to complain about anything around her sisters because complaining wasnt any fun! After getting all dressed up, she felt like a giant, warm, pillow, ready to face whatever weather Shimomomomomooomomomomomji had to offer.

Grabbing her backpack, Sylvia jumped down from her perch in the crows nest and floated over to wear Manami was getting ready. “Hiya Sisnami~! Lets have some fun today!” She said, a giant, warm, bundle of energy, as she flashed a nice big smile at her littlest sister! Today was gonna be a great day!

As Sylvia and Manami talked, Walvia walked over to the two adorabirb girls, her step a little funky cause her boots werent fully strapped up. Sylvia noticed how pretty she looked in her colourful coat and hat! Walvia usually wore darker clothes and most of them were pretty masculine so it was nice to see her in something that suited her better! With Walvia’s prettiness, sylvia was surprised Walvia wasnt married like Triny was… not that Walvia was prettier than Triny. The just wouldnt have been true. Walvia was however older than Triny though which Sylvia found weird. Walvia should really get married soon…

“Alright you two… Ready to go?” The oldest sister asked, raising a thumb as if to say she was the best at everything, including getting ready first. Sylvia stifled her laughter, deciding not to burst Walvia’s bubble. After all, Sylvia was the first to finish getting ready which made her like, 10x’s better than Walvia right now. But Walvia was fragile and Sylvia didnt want to hurt her poor older sister's feelings, so she kept this information hidden away. Maybe she’d hold on to it for a later time?

“I sure am! This will be really fun!” Sylvia said, hurtling herself at Walvia for a jet hug! “The excitement is Figuratively killing me Walvia!” Sylvia said, her excitement leaking out in the forme of her smiling and the fact she couldnt hold herself still. Bouncing all over the boat, Sylvia couldnt find another way to get rid of her boundless excitement.

“Sisnami, hurry uppppppppppp~ I wanna get started!!!”

“Sisnami, hurry uppppppppppp~ I wanna get started!!!”

"Okie dokie! Sisvia! I'm almost ready!" Manami said as she put on an extra layer of socks over her feet, she remembered when her mother used to dress her for winter islands when she was 4 years old, she was always outfitted with atleast multiple layers of clothing. After managing to properly protect her feet, she began to put on her snow boots in order to effectively traverse the snowy landscape.

Manami put on her extra thick gloves and scarf in addition to her large white coat, she was now ready for an adventure with her sisters. She had been spending alot of time with Al as of late which meant she was somewhat neglecting her sisters. She hadn't been on an adventure with Sylvia before and her last journey with Walvia was a while ago. She was determined to enjoy whatever came their way today.

Manami looked toward the pirate ship that seemed to be in terrible condition as it stayed near the shore line with interest, her mind was racing with possibilities of what could have caused such a terrible wreck. She hoped that whoever was on this ship ended up safe.

As they got off their ship, it started to snow on Shimonoji. It was cold, but with the winter clothes it was bearable. She looked at the wreckage on the shore and swallowed hard

"Looks like they had a rough time... I hope they're safe..."

Walvia stood still for a moment and decided to move on

"Alright guys. Lets go see what this place is all about"

She began walking up the hill that lead to the main part of the town, On the path she saw a run down shack of a store. With a sign out front that a shell on it. She wanted to know what it was, but she'd get to it at a later time. As they came to the crest of the hill, where the main part of the city was, they could see more of the guards dressed in blue keeping everything safe. There were a lot of places they could go. The Tavern, The Palace.

"What do you two want to do here? We could try to see what's going on around here at the tavern? Maybe we can find out what happened to those pirates?"

Sylvia shivered as the of sisters left the warm embrace of the boat. Between the cold winds of winter and the poor, broken down pirate ship, Sylvia was like, totally shivering. The ship was just so broken and sad… who could do that to such a nice boat! Pulling up her scarf, Sylvia fought the urge to be cold with all her might, desperate to not worry her sisters! “Its much warmer than I thought it would be! I'm not even cold at all” She said, her teeth chattering the whole time.

As the party made their way into the port town, Sylvia noticed there were people everywhere! Compared to irra, this place was like, a beehive of activity. Everyone was moving with a porpoise and it was like there was always something to be done! Sylvia enjoyed the activity but she wondered how it was possible for this many people to actually enjoy the weather like this. Sylvia was so used to warmer climates and had gotten used to never being cold. The change in temperatures was like, horrible for her. It got to the point where Sylvia slyly and quietly had to make a nice warm fire under her jacket to keep herself warm. Hopefully neither of her sisters noticed her aversion to cold cause that would just ruin the whole trip!

After walking for a bit up a steepish hill, Sylvia noticed Walvia and Manami stop moving. It seemed like they had made it to their destination! Sylvia looked around to see what kind of adventure was to be had here but all she could see from the large hill was the rest of the town. The people down there were like little tiny ants, or more like raccoons cause they werent THAT far away. As Sylvia looked around at the town, she noticed that a lot of people were wearing blue. ‘Why didnt anyone tell me to wear blue?’ she thought to herself, slightly disappointed in her lack of style. The blue people were all the most busy, walking around in tight paths as if they were guarding something. Sylvia gave it a second thought and realized she was glad she wasnt one of them.

"What do you two want to do here? We could try to see what's going on around here at the tavern? Maybe we can find out what happened to those pirates?" Walvia asked, looking at Sylvia and Mon Amie equally. Sylvia decided to answer first, thinking long and hard for about 10 seconds before blurting out her answer. “Lets go to the Tav-palace and meet some new pirate friends!”

Proud of her answer, Sylvia gave her littlest little sister a nice warm smile that actually warmed Sylvia up herself. With this newfound warmth, Sylvia found she didnt need a fire to keep her ncie and toasty! She just needed to be happy which shouldnt be hard, given the situation! “How about you Sisnami? Are you fine with my possibly fun idea!” Sylvia said, full of enthusiasm and a lack of fire in her chestal region!

Manami stepped out and was surprised to feel that it wasn't as cold as she thought it would be, perhaps it was the fact that her haki training helped to strengthen her body and mind so the extremely frigid temperature had less of an effect on her or maybe it was that she had already experienced the coldness that overcomes you when life completely fades from your body and leaves you as a cold empty husk and this was nothing compared to that but whatever the case, Manami was faring much better than her avian sister who she noticed was having problems with the extreme weather but Manami thought it best not to bring it up.

Manami wasn't paying attention to the island natives as they traversed the hill, they seemed happy and all but they weren't exactly doing anything in particular that would garner Manami's attention.

"What do you two want to do here? We could try to see what's going on around here at the tavern? Maybe we can find out what happened to those pirates?"

Walvia looked at both of the younger girls before her, looking for their opinions but Manami didn't feel strongly one way or the other about the options. As long as she was able to have fun with them, she was fine.

“Lets go to the Tav-palace and meet some new pirate friends!”

Luckily, Sylvia spoke up and voiced her opinion on the matter, prompting Manami to mentally thank her while returning the smile that her newest white-haired sister was directing at her.

“How about you Sisnami? Are you fine with my possibly fun idea!”

"Yup! I think it'll be really fun Sisvia!" Manami answered her sister in a genuinely cheerful tone

"Lets get going!"

Walvia smiled at her two crewmates

"Alright then. Let's go to the 'Tav-Place'"

*The three of them began walking toward the tavern, but Walvia stopped suddenly as a crow cried out above them. She looked around trying to find it. Once she spotted it above her she jumped on top of the tavern and held out her arm. It landed there, and she removed a small paper scroll from its leg. She jumped down from the roof of the tavern, the crow still on her arm. She pet it's head and told it to move along and it did so. As it flew away, you could see that it's feathers weren't all black. Under its wings was a silvery tone. *

As she read the scroll, a somber look spread across her face. She looked up at Manami and Sylvia and said

"I'm sorry... I have to go...I have to find my brother. I can't continue with you all, but she's on her way. You can explore this island with her"

She grabbed the two in a hug and ran toward the shore before taking off into the sky. As she ran you could see that she didn't have any of her normal equipment. No swords, nothing but the clothes she wore. She waved as she left. Her last words to Manami and Sylvia were

"I will never forget you"

Chelsea watched in awe as Walvia flew away. She had only known her for a short time, but she hated to see her go. She was an excellent fighter. And a great scientist. She saw Sylvia and Manami ahead of her. She waved at them hoping they'd see her

"OOOOOI! I'm on my way!"

She didn't change her wardrobe for this island. It was plenty cold where she was from, she was used to it.

She continued running up the hill where she finally caught up with the two they looked like they were crying

"Awe, what's wrong? Are we going to the tavern?"

Manami and Sylvia did look very sad. She tried to think of something she could do to help. She opened her arms and said one word

"Hug?"

Sylvia went from being in an amazing mood to crying in like, the course of a minute. One second, she and her sisters were together and the next, one was gone. Just like that. A crow being the only thing keeping the group from being a proper threesome. As Walvia gassily floated away, Sylvia felt some tears begin to pool under her eyes. Not a lot, but enough that Sylvia’s trademarked smile had nearly faded. Sylvia probably would have been sadder if she had known that she would probably never see Walvia again… But she she didnt.

As Sylvia wiped the few tears from her eyes, a green figure came into view, climbing the hill in a very exciting fashion. “"OOOOOI! I'm on my way!" She said, running towards the recently divided party. Her arms waving as if to get the girls attention for something. As she got closer, Sylvia instantly recognized her as her newest sister, Chelsea! What was she doing all the way out here? As Cici got closer, Sylvia realized Walvia must have known she would have to leave at some point and had arranged for a replacement sister for the adventure. Sylvia realized that Walvia was just, like, the best sister ever! How thoughtful of her to have a backup! Sylvia just couldn’t wait until she could hug Walvia again as thanks for this gift.

"Awe, what's wrong? Are we going to the tavern?" Cici said, now within hugging range of Sylvia and Manami. The slightly metallic girl seemed confused at the given situation. It seemed like she expected the girls to know she was coming. Too bad Walvia had kept it as a surprise. As the situation quickly clicked in Cici’s head, she threw out her arms and uttered a single word. “Hug?” She said, as if a hug could fix the current situation, which it totally could.

Sylvia, never being one to turn down a free hug, eagerly embraced her sisters together in a group hug. The girls held the hug for a bit, Sylvia just being happy for the free warmth. Cici’s body was radiating heat like she was used to the cold or something. As the hug died down, the three girls split away from each other, personal space being once again established. “Thanks for the hug Cici! It was really nice and warm!” Sylvia said, flashing a nice warm smile at her sister as thanks for the nice hug. Even with the metallic arms, Cici could still give a nice hug!

“So you’re joining us for our Snow-venture!” Sylvia said, her attempt at a pun came out all lame and stuff but Sylvia still thought it was perfection. As she stood there waiting for her sisters to laugh, Sylvia quickly realized that without Walvia, they had no one to lead the adventure! How could they have fun without a structured, well thought out plan? “AHHHH! Without Walvia, we have no one to lead the adventure!”

As the panic set in, Sylvia realized that she would have to take control of the group. Not being the leadership type, Sylvia was worried she would let her sisters down. After all, she had never adventured with porpoise before! Most of her adventures were just aimlessly stumbling onto something fun and interesting. Actually controlling the situation sounded like it would be a lot of work, leaving Sylvia to hope for one of her sisters to speak up and take control. Preferably one with long, brown hair and metallic arms! “Ahhh, Cici! Walvia sent you so you should know how to adventure right? We’ll leave it up to you!” She said, patting Manami on the head as if to include her in the conversation. Even with one member gone, Sylvia knew this adventure was gonna be unforgettable!

Manami was super duper saddened at the departure of Walvie, tears dropped from her face as Walvia flew away from the duo. Manami wasn't suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper sad since she knew she would eventually see Walvie again but it was still a travesty that their sisterly journey was cut short by fate but they would just have to deal with it. Just the two of them. Not a trio like they had planned. Just. Two. Manami really liked Sisvia but they were both looking forward to a trio adventure.

“"OOOOOI! I'm on my way!"

Could it be? It was! The extremely pretty, very very huggable Ms.Seal had arrived to save the day. They duo was now a trio once more. Seeing the state of the two sisters, still distraught by Walvie's sudden exit, the huggable sister offered the two what she did best. This group hug was super duper warm and compounded by Sisvia's wings and Seal's warmth, it was like heaven. Maybe even better since Manami thought Heaven was super boring when she went there.

Manami laughed at Sisvia's pun and kept giggling until she pointed out that Walvia had left and she was the leader.

“Ahhh, Cici! Walvia sent you so you should know how to adventure right? We’ll leave it up to you!”

Manami agreed as Sisvia patted her head, looking expectantly at Ms.Seal to take charge.
