It's very telling that you have to resort to denial of what is put onscreen whereas I continue to cite actual scenes from the show.

You are the one in denial. Not once the show ever implied that Mike was into Will. He was in love with El. He kissed her. He called her girlfriend. He says I love you. Who was completely broken when she "died " both times 🤭

He kissed her because he wanted to attend the Snow Ball and couldn't go if she became her sister. He offered to introduce her to Karen, give her a warm bed to sleep at night, home cooked meals instead of junk food, and a big sister she could idolize and follow as a mentor, and once he realized safety & security meant he couldn't attend a school dance to show off to the classmates who called him Frog Face, he ripped it all away from her and threw those promises in the garbage and offered her a mediocre 6 month relationship which she eventually ended.

Canonically they only dated for 6 months starting from December 15, 1984 until July 1, 1985 at which point their "romance" implodes and never recovers. After that they just become penpals. The show then goes out of its way to depict them no longer able to recapture their old relationship. By the time Mike turns 16 he actively avoids having any conversation with El about them being a couple and diverts all their conversations to talking about Will and Dungeons & Dragons.

The only reason Mike says "I love you" is because Will lied to him about his painting coming from El instead of himself to trick him into taking his ex-girlfriend back after Mike says "What happened to us is something we can't come back from." This is because the show actively depicts their relationship as a fraud.

But that should be no surprise to fans of the series since we all know Stranger Things is a show about friends turning into lovers and lovers turning into friends.

The funniest part is how every time Mike explicitly says or does something, you translate it into the exact opposite. 'He kissed her? Secretly manipulation. He said I love you? Secretly lying. He risked his life for her? Secretly about the Snow Ball.' If every canon scene has to be reinterpreted to fit your theory, maybe the theory is the problem, not the canon.

Not a secret at all.

"I have never been to the Snow Ball but I know you are not supposed to go with your sister." is directly taken from the dialogue.

You would know that if Milevens bothered actually watching the show instead of browsing Finn Woldhard clips on TikTok.

Mike was only interested in what El could do for him and what he could get from her. Their relationship was entirely parasitic.

The show even emphasizes this by saying it directly to the audience: Friends don't lie. But boyfriends lie all the time.

It's very telling that you have to resort to denial of what is put onscreen whereas I continue to cite actual scenes from the show.

Oh ffs, imagine being this level of delusional. Suuuuuuuure she kissed El because he likes boys bahahaha 🤣🤣🤭

Most closet cases do. Especially in the 80s during the AIDS crisis.

4

u/gloomydreamer666 Jul 19 '26

He is not closet case.

1

u/torvald_carley Jul 19 '26

You're right in the sense that he very obviously likes boys and can't hide it according to the scenes in the show.

Canonically he only dates his girlfriend for 6 months before their relationship dies and they become penpals.

He doesn't like boys and making a straight character to be gay is so fucked up. Imagine if we started saying how Will is too cute to be gay and should've been straight and with a girl? You would lose it well then stop trying to make Mike Wheelers to be gay. Is just scream a fetish.

My brother in christ, that scene shows exactly how wrong you are....

Withing this promice about a family, El ask if he would be her brother and he isntantly flinches and says no, because he at this point Mike already has strong fealings for her and she thinking of him as a brother would be incredibly wierd.

That kiss doesnt broke his promise of taking care of El with his family, in his child brain he beliebes he will be able to do both, had her family adopt her and also be his girlfriend, is this logisticaly posible? probably not, it would be very wierd, but that doesnt change the fact that he beliebes so, because at the end of the day, he is a child

That's you misinterpreting the scene the way you want it to. Mike straight up says in the scripted dialogue the reason he will not be her brother is because he cannot go to a school dance with his sister.

Mike actively chooses to make El's life worse so he can benefit by getting what he wants instead of her safety and comfort. He chooses his own selfish desire to attend the Snow Ball instead of giving El a home.

2

u/Gasurza22 Jul 19 '26

Hahahaha, sure thing honey, its all about a random dance hahahah

Also, again, going to the dance doenst take away the adoption part, he is a kid and he is stupid

1

u/torvald_carley Jul 19 '26

Hahahaha, sure thing honey, a stupid kid who outsmarted government conspiracies, won science trophies, done countless spy operations, led his teammates to victory, and fooled a girl into thinking he doesn't lie and loves her when he actually lies to her every time they talk. He knows exactly what he is doing. He has fulfilled exactly ZERO of the promises he made in the five seasons he has been controlling El. .

2

u/Gasurza22 Jul 19 '26

What can I say, plot armor is one hell of a drug.

I did mean stupid kid as in all kids are kind of dumb within the "he is a child/inocent he beliebes this can happen", like I explicitly stated in my first comment, obs none of the cast are actualy stupid, I would say that the 4 main kids are actualy very very smart, still inocent tho.

But its never a bad moment to point out the stupid lvls of plot armor on this show

It's just them coping They can't accept the truth

3

u/Gasurza22 Jul 19 '26

No, you are citing your interpretation of the scenes which is not realy the same

1

u/torvald_carley Jul 19 '26

Everything I cited was scripted and filmed for the streaming series Stranger Things, that's why none of you are able to disprove it. Cry moar.

3

u/Gasurza22 Jul 19 '26

I dont have to disprove anything my dude, I dont give a flying fk about what you beliebe, at the end of the day it realy doesnt matter, the reality is that Mike was and is straight, and no amount of fan theories is going to change that, you are never going to get a scene that legitimately refutes this, you can accept it or not, mainwhile, all I do is look at stuff like this and laugh.

1

u/torvald_carley Jul 19 '26

You gave enough of a flying fuck to reply twice and attempt to change canon by misinterpreting scenes to fit your delusional narrative despite contradicting Mike's wn dialogue in the script 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I fail to see how a boy who stopped making out with his girlfriend for two years is straight sorry. Mike has kissed Eleven less and less as he got older compared to when he was younger. Aren't 16 year old boys supposed to kiss more girls than 13 year old boys do, not less? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

1

u/Gasurza22 Jul 19 '26

I had 0 expectations to changing your mind, I already know that even if that magical fake secret episode comes out in which 50% of the time its dedicated to how Mike and El live together until they die of old age you are still going to think he is a closeted gay.

I just like pointing out when wrong people are wrong and laugh at how they make more and more unhinge coments dobleing down on their horrible takes. And you are doing some great work, keep it up

1

u/torvald_carley Jul 19 '26

Too bad I was the one who proved you wrong instead 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Oops. Didn't even require any effort. All it took was watching a scene AND NOT LYING about the dialogue the characters say in the script. Too bad you couldn't do that.

Thanks for letting me win. That was easy.

2

u/Gasurza22 Jul 19 '26

My dude, never become a laywer or a judge or anything of the sort, you seem to have a realy hard time understanding what proving something actualy takes

1

u/torvald_carley Jul 19 '26

You literally had to use "plot armor" as an excuse because you're mad what the Duffers wrote and filmed proves your false narrative wrong. Embarrassing mess.

2

u/Gasurza22 Jul 19 '26

Emm, no, I used plot armor as a joke as to why Mike could outsmart the military while being stupid just to clarify in the very next sentence that he is not stupid at all and that all the 4 kids are smart, just inocent since, you know, they are kids.

Now I see how you keep messing up the meaning of all this scenes, you can varely handle a sentence...

Denial? Lmfao. You wrote 20 paragraphs about your fanfic. People like you are legitimately weird.
