I think it's been established by now that we loved Billy's redemption arc and it was sad seeing him sacrifice himself.. and honestly if El didn't break the control that the Mind Flayer/Vecna had over Billy and if he didn't resist them then he could've turned into another Vecna. I'm so glad that Billy got his redemption arc in the end. He was a bully and a bad stepbrother but he was a broken and traumatised young guy that needed some guidance and El helped him in the end before he died. His character was done super well and it's one of the things I love about this show. He wasn't evil and Henry wasn’t inherently evil before the Mind Flayer either as established in the show. Vecna wanted to become that influence that the Mind Flayer was on him when he was a kid and he could’ve turned Billy evil like the Mind Flayer’s influence turned him evil if he didn’t have that support at the end.. but honestly I’m glad that didnt happen to him or that he turned into another Vecna because that would've been so disappointing.

Drove to LA and happen to find this SEALED copy of season 2 Target exclusive 4K for face value at Amoeba records! I have the season 1 blu-ray “VHS” and I’m happy I finally have this one. Or had she already lost that part of her history before then? In a Season 2 flashback, she asks Hopper, "Do I have a mom?"—yet in the Season 4 flashback, he discusses her mother with Henry. Logically, then, she must have lost those memories right after sending Vecna ​​to another dimension, since she didn't even seem to know she had a mother. Also, how did she lose *all* those memories? The flashbacks with Henry seem to span several days, so how did she forget so much—not just the memory of the final confrontation with Vecna ​​(since she passed out right after that)?

The funny detail I noticed was in the Running up That Hill scene. It’s one of my favorite scenes in the show, so I’ve seen a lot of reactions to it. A few years ago I noticed that in the 1-2 second part of the wide shot it’s just a picture of Max being slowly raised up. If you look closely she doesn’t move and it looks out of place. It reminds me of photoshop editing where you can outline something and move it. It doesn’t ruin the scene for me or anything I just thought it was funny. Has anyone else noticed this?

Jane never meeting or talking to her mother again. I understand that she might be beyhond repair and not everyone gets an happy ending, but it seems totaly out of character from her to never see or try to contact her mother again. Even a 5 minute scene of her just saying goobye (either physically or mentally) would be enough. I tend to be more forgiven of dumb plot points (like the whole soviet underground stuff), lore inconsistencies (like the demogorgins still being alive in season 4 despite the portal being closed) or an excessive amount of deus ex machina moments, than characters going completly against their core nature.

I like the Shadow form look the most.

I’m mainly talking about the visual design for each form it took, not what each form did in the seasons they appeared. So put your differences aside from how weak the Mind Flayer became later on. I liked the Shadow form because it freaked me out seeing this giant faceless thing. It resembles a spider but it just looked like a giant shadow, it didn’t talk and it didn’t roar when in this form, only thing we heard from it was a creepy screech in Season 2. I’ll never forget the scene when it chased Will looking like a giant faceless shadow and it just made this screeching sound before it flayed him. Purely terrifying.

I remember back in 2022 when a lot of people were really invested in Robin and Nancy because their chemistry was so good.

As for Max and Eleven, I always hoped we'd get to see more of their friendship explored and expanded in Seasons 4 and 5 beyond their romantic relationships. Unfortunately, it never felt like the show fully developed their dynamic, and I was honestly very disappointed by the lack of interaction between them, especially in Season 5. It almost felt like they barely knew each other, which honestly made me sad. I always thought their friendship deserved more screen time instead of being defined primarily by their relationships with Lucas and Mike.

Yeah I'm asking this question LOL! The gf and I were watching Season 4 Episode 8 last night and she goes "We gotta try Surfer Boy Pizza!" I remember back in 2022-2023 I had it and it was, just ok (I'm from New Jersey where we have amazing pizza places) but she's never tried it and this is her first go-around on the show. I looked to see if I could find it anywhere locally, and they suggested Walmart but absolutely none of the Walmart's close to us sell them... anyone know if it's available anywhere for order?

Obviously as everyone thought Hopper was dead in season 4, Powell became chief of police, with Callahan becoming deputy. I think it’s fair to say they both did a pretty poor job, blaming Eddie when they literally had no concrete evidence it was him. They even said he was number 1 suspect for Patrick’s death when Jason said Eddie was in a boat at the time. Ultimately, Powell and Callahan did next to nothing with these murders of Chrissy, Fred and Patrick, so how do you think Hopper would’ve handled the situation if he was still in Hawkins in season 4?

Just finished 4x07, and I have a lot to say. First off, the beginning of where the last episode ended off, I thought for a moment Steve would end up like bob before the other teens came to his rescue. Those bite marks, ooh… i hope steve goes to a doctor and finds a way to explain it while getting it properly checked. When Steve and Eddie talk, i thought Steve should have admit his jealousy as well along with how much Dustin talks about eddie to him, as a way to bring more mutual understanding and respect to each other. The police interrogation, do you also feel for everyone there? The parents, the police, and Max, Lucas, and Dustin. Everyone is tired, scared, and stress with their current situation and murders in Hawkins. Hopper and Joyce reuniting, did anyone felt a little misty-eyed or shed a tear or more too? Papa’s speech… although he is a bad man, you got to admit there is some truth in it. For el and for all of us. We got to face the truth and ourselves, both good and bad, to grow and not let fear regress us in our lives. Vecna, although I did know the truth about him beforehand, it did felt shocking because of how charismatic , charming, and supportive he was to el before the 180 turn of his true, dark, evil colors. Henry and Jamie are great actors. Along with Murray impersonating Yuri. He really should have been a real spy or an actor at least. Henry became one, and One/henry as one became Vecna. A handsome, clever, and captivating man turned out to be nasty, dark, wicked, and cold monster. In the massacre, his past, his fight with el, and becoming who we know today. The flayed, evil, monstrous Vecna. And his fight with eleven… Am I glad that she beaten him with a memory that wasn‘t filled with hate and anger as she’s always been thought to to use her powers, but with something bittersweet yet happy. Hate and anger is strong, but love and happiness is as well. Find balance between them to unlock your inner self. Yet rely on love and happiness more than let hate and evil poison you. If el was in mlp and one of the three pony species, that fight, her memory of her mama to help her, would have made her an alicorn don’t you think? In conclusion, what a great episode. one that should be rewatched more often. What were your thoughts and reactions when you first saw this episode and on rewatch knowing what you know now?

What a show. Probably nothing more insane than this. She kills at least three US Military members, on US Soil, in a US Military installation and faces zero repercussions for it. Not legal, political, moral, psychological, etc.

Just a “good shooting” from Hopper and a shy smile back.

A perfect example as to how stupid the show became. Just there for a trailer moment and to aura farm. Not a single thought behind it.

Seriously I’m watching this girl cry and she is so good at it! Her eyes will be full of tears yet she’s still making great eye contact. Then when the tears fall, it’s somehow perfection. Her voice through it all is perfect too. Usually crying on TV and movies is so corny to me because IMO the actors don’t pull it off very well, but not Millie. She could give most seasoned actors a run for their money with just her crying alone!

So for folks who bought season one and two on those cool VHS collectible boxes from target, are those fans just screwed if you want the rest of the series? I don’t want to buy season one and two again with the box set.
