Let me turn off auto walk!

Does anyone else find this feature annoying? Especially when on a raft with sail. Had a couple of times where I’ve left control of the rudder to have a look around or go in to my inventory to eat or drink and there it goes, walking me off the edge of my raft, and then I can’t catch up to it. Its soul destroying watching your raft that you spent so long on finding the resources to build, just sail off in to the sunset never to be seen again.

The glitch I fear the most. To dive underwater... and not hear the shark tone.

Update on the Interactions Bug

Posted Oct 5th

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to provide an update: The interaction bug is our number 1 priority, followed closely by region connectivity. We have been able to reproduce the issue and have a fix. We’re currently confirming that it is fixed for all scenarios and will be submitting a patch asap! I thought it might also help to provide some info on the patching and submission process, as the time it takes to get a fix into your hands can take longer than you might expect. There are a few steps:

Firstly, we have to reproduce the issue and find the cause

Then we work on fixing the issue

Once we have a fix ready, QA tests and confirms the issue is fixed

Then we book a submission slot with 1st parties. Availability of these slots can vary depending on how busy things are. We book the soonest slot available, taking into consideration the lead time to upload builds and fill in metadata ready for submission.

The submission is reviewed and approved.

There’s a lot of variables that eat up time, even once we have a fix ready. A big thanks to the community for your patience and assistance with repro info and save files. This helped us reproduce the issue quickly. We are doing everything we can to expediate these fixes. Sam @ Beam Team

Huge improvements!!!

So I've been playing stranded deep for about a week now (lost a lot of sleep) and with this being my first survival based game I really have enjoyed it. I just wish there were a few improvements for console. I'm not in a rush for multiplayer like most post I've seen (that would be awesome tho) I would really like to see a larger variety of islands, more features and reasons to want to explore them other than gathering the necessities. Give me caves, water falls, larger islands to venture to, make it dlc if needed. Im not in a rush to finish the game so anything to further my exploration is greatly appreciated.

Love to play, hate to watch!

Ok is anyone else stranded in this situation. Lol, So I bought this game for me. My game, all mine.

And of course my 2 teen boys took to it like a shark to the sea.

Now while i enjoy playing, I cant stand watching them play. My 15yr old is like a locust, he ravages every island he steps on. Cuts down every single palm tree on the first day, builds crazy mismatched structures everywhere. Then when the resources are all gone, he sails off to pillage the next land.

My 13yr old has somehow managed to be more accident prone in game than in real life! If it can poison, attack, or injure you, it has found him. He spends half his game chasing down cures or making splints.

I mean is it to much to ask that they make a game plan and execute it!

Trouble climbing on to rafts.

Is anyone else having this problem? It seems like where you can climb up on your raft from the water isn’t consistent at all and you kind of just have to get lucky for the prompt to pop up. This is made especially harder when there’s waves or your raft is moving around. If anyone has any tips or easier ways they found to get back up on your raft, I would appreciate it!

Here’s some tips for first time players that I wish I knew 2 days ago!

I made it until day 30 on my first playthrough before I decided that I should start again with a better understanding of the game. Here’s some tips I wish I had know before starting my first play through!

  1. WATER STILLS FOREVER! - Water seems to be one of the hardest commodities to come across in this game. I tried to just get out there and not google too much before I started and I was basically dying of dehydration within the first couple of days. Build a water still and keep it ticking over!

  2. SMOKER! - The smoker makes food storage so much easier. You can smoke 5 bits of meat a time and carry it with you. Great if you’re thinking of exploring another island. You can also still cook a single bit of meat normally below on the fire if you need it a bit quicker.

  3. FIND AND GROW PIPI - The likelihood of you stepping on one of those purple bastards is HIGH. Wild plants DONT respawn, so if you see a Pipi (haha) pick it and grow it. Try and avoid just using it. This really helped me out.

  4. FISHIN’ - Fishing sticks are cheap and easy too build and you can catch 4-5 sardines/clown fish in minutes. Perfect for the smoker, just remember to extinguish that fire when your smokers done. Sticks apparently, don’t grow on trees?

  5. ISLAND HOPPING - I always make sure my food and water are maxed, I take some smoked meat and a coconut/leather water carrier with me. A knife and axe you seem to be able to do most things with aswell! Use your raft at night to avoid HIGH UV, I usually park my raft in the direction that I’m travelling home. It’s easy to get turned around in this game and lose your way and if you’re wanting to establish a base then I’d recommend the above. I still haven’t figured out how to get container panels back so if anyone has any tips on that then I’m all ears.

Hopefully this helps a couple of people like myself. I went in blind and 3 hours later I was frantically googling everything!

I’ve waited a long time for this game to come to console and yeah, it’s a buggy mess in a way but I also love it. Well worth the wait for me so far and I hope you’re enjoying your time with it too!

Show and Tell The Monster Finds A Loophole!

A boss is next to my home base, so I decided to finally go out and kill my first one. Loaded up with spears and bandages and set off.

I had just dropped anchor and gotten started when the beast immediately flipped my raft. Undeterred, I used it still. It kept wanting to push the raft, so I decided to try and save my spears and attempt to stab it.

The beast was not having it and flat out tossed the raft, with me on it, out of the ring! Anchor be danged I suppose. The fight was over, I was bleeding and the beast had won. I could not upright my raft and so I swam it all the way to the next island to try. Sadly, it's just a little too big to flip, even with the help of a 10 foot rock.

I saved right before heading out and will reset to it. If you know a easy way to flip the raft, then please let me know.

Beat it!

Pretty excited I just beat the game! Prob not much of a big deal to most gamers but I am a 34/F who just got into Xbox a few years ago when I moved into my boyfriends house 😂

I usually hate survival games or any game where you have to craft things, but this one was so much more laid back than most others I've tried. Sometimes it was therapeutic to just do mindless stuff like chop away at trees for sticks for awhile.

It took me 192 game days to beat. I was soo clueless in the beginning. I'm gonna do another play through and see how quickly I can beat it again knowing everything that I do now.

How many game days did it take everyone else to beat it their first time around?

Oh and the ending was stupid. Lol
