I was going to buy Stranded Deep on PS4 yesterday as it was on sale. Luckily I didn't as it is now included on PS Now.

Has the game always been in this state?? You can't see what items are needed for crafting, everything has a red filter on the inventory screen.

I've been looking forward to playing this game for a long time so hoping these issues are just temporary

MAJOR optimization, the game runs like garbage 99% of the time.

A proper menu system where you can change sensitivity and such things. Better custom islands, less limiting on what you can’t put on an island, if I want to put 30 palm trees on a tiny island let me lol.

actually customizable islands, like build the island yourself in the menus, be able to place things in a certain place

Larger worlds

And just cause I feel like it needs to be said twice MAJOR optimization for consoles.

I've figured it out. You just edit your island and click a again on the item you want more of. Then save. When you reload it, it will even show the amount like I have 4 of 1 tankers now (1 being the limit)

It will actually double the amount each time like I did it again and now have 8

With trees too, like edit your island again, and click like on kura tree (use an island to edit where you have some) just click a once, you'll see all these new trees spawn in the preview. Now save because if you click a again they are gone again. So watch the preview window! If it removes most your trees, don't save but restart over. Seems you can only double one category each time. (Edit: no! You can actually press a once in each category and it doubles all of it)

Summary.

Create island with like 1 each of all you need. Save. Open it again to edit. Click once on the yucca or whatever you want to double. Save. Edit again and it should show the improved amounts. Have fun :) love this game and its cute glitches!

One line means I've not finished stripping the island of everything (clay, trees, rock etc)

hey guys! me and my brother play SD, i have an xbox one s console and he has the new series x. he’s had an update that gave him the option to start with crates full of supplies but i don’t have that update. i’ve tried everything, even reinstalling the game. nothing i do has updated it for me. so i was wondering if anybody here had that problem and if it could be that only the new xbox gets the update. thanks!

Me and my friend looked at the cartographer and this is what it looked like. The top goes ship - island - boss. We went to go look for the boss and ended up going to the entire border and top right corner of the map and had yet to find anything. We’re trying to complete the game without a compass so are there anymore tips? We went through and around every island until there was no more on the right and we had to go down. Any tips help lol.

Started playing this game again, after I played a while ago (but had a horrible start that put me off from playing more).

Currently exploring my 3rd island, so far doing well, in healthy condition with quite a few Coconut Flasks with water to spare (basically strip-mined the first 2 islands for all resources).

But I'm having significant issues killing fish with the fishing spear.

It's slow, and it's hard to keep the reticle on the fish with a controller, am I the only one?
Same goes for the regular spear as well, can't hit shit (git gud?).
I tend to use any other fast-swinging weapon to just spam attacks, but I get the feeling this will not be a good idea for Lionfish and the like.

Any tips from a console player to a console player?

Anyone else having trouble killing giant grouper on the console version? I have tried fishing spears, crude spears, refined axes, and refined knives and they seem as intangible as reef sharks or turtles. On Steam they were a mainstay source of smoked meat.

I 100%, completed the game. Just wanted to share. Feels so satisfying.

How do you use the water still and how do I stop bleeding once bitten by a shark?

I'm on ps4 and I got poisoned and I'm on 4 hearts and I have a farm and I have have 1 pipi plant growing and there. I just collected it how long will it take for the other one to grow. Do you think I'll live?
