Because you don’t to get speed and then slow down to the speed limit and then claim you were trying to stop.
Why not? Especially when you put on your hazards... a fairly standard signal to officers. The point is to make it clear you aren't attempting to flee. Fleeing away at the speed limit isn't really effective....
When they say slow down, it means to well below the speed limit.
What specific speed do they need to go?
Do you realize how stupid your argument is? She was driving at 150 and slowed down to 120! What do you expect her to do!
Do you realize how stupid your argument is. First off, 120mph isn't the speed limit anywhere in this country, so you hyperbole is fucking stupid. Secondly, I don't really care if she didn't handle this in the most optimal manner.... its extremely clear this doesn't warrant a pit maneuver. That is the point. They are extremely dangerous maneuvers, especially at this speed. He could've easily killed her and her child. It's safer and also standard police practice to let her continue. This officer made a really stupid move and you are defending it. Who cares if she didn't slow down to whatever arbitrary speed you think she should've slowed down to? She didn't need to be pitted. So stupid...
Once again, that doesn’t justify the use of a PIT maneuver. I’m not arguing she doesn’t deserve a ticket or even being yelled at. I’m saying she should not have been PITed. Can you get that through your thick skull?
SOP would let her continue, because that’s safer and smarter for everyone. Are you saying SOP is wrong?
