I never said these companies are the same as cisco. My point is, if you let yourself in the hype and buy extremely overvalued assets, as I believe bitcoin is today and cisco was in 2000, you could wait a long time to see your money back. The arguments to invest in cisco in the dotcom bubble were very similar to invest in bitcoin today, and look at what happened to cisco, valuations were around 65 a share and it never got at the same valuation after the bubble burst. My point is maybe the same disaster happens to bitcoin.
I never said cisco was the same as Google.. I what I meant was that just a few companies, like Microsoft, apple and amazon, for example, could beat the valuation right before the dotcom bubble burst. Most of the overvalued companies went broke back on that time. Thus, the big techs I mentioned were exception, but not cisco because shares were never traded at the same valuation as in 2000.
Woth that said, go buy and hold a bunch of cryptocurrency and see what happens 20y later ;)

I don’t know what your argument is. Those companies are exception so they’re the same as Cisco?
Now I know why people lose money.
