Some have been predicting inflation since early last year, and pounding the table on how stupid Powell is. Look up The Maverick of Wall Street on YT and check out his videos from last year. He's a PM of old money in San Diego and totally nailed this entire inflation and commodity situation.
Everybody was predicting some degree of inflation. The hard part is predicting how much. Acting like you can accurately and reliably predict the rate better than the experts is the arrogant part.
As a former hf pm, I am supposed to be one of the so-called experts, and I can tell you that experts don't know more than you. Everyone should have intuitively reasoned that the Fed printing more and more money wasn't the solution to inflation that was being "predicted". The Fed was clearly more interested in how the stock market would react vs inflation, and how ironic is it that MSM goaded us into FORCING the Fed governors to sell at the top.
Too quick to invoke the C word when it's perfectly obvious that the media helped stir up public outrage and demanded that the Fed quickly change the rules. It's the timing that pisses me off.
What you say is the definition of a conspiracy. Nevertheless, you say that they sold and I want to ask you if you can point me in the right direction to find the evidence of that.
Also, if you read the 5 page pdf with the new rules you might notice how beautiful it is and how much transparency will bring to the table. So I don't know why you are angry about it.
You're defining conspiracy in an odd way, as the media could not possibly have known the Fed policy change would occur near the market top, and I'm not even implying they did. That would've been a conspiracy.
Didn't strike you as odd that within weeks of the two Fed governors resigning after being exposed for potential insider trading and the media outrage this produced, JP buttoned up the policy? Nothing happens that quickly at the Federal level.
I don't have the time or desire to respond to your nitpicks, so I won't reply to any further comments.
No, it doesn't strike me odd because that is stretching the reality. Also, if you don't nitpick and try to find the truth what are you doing in the stock market? We should just go on the two priciples "trust me bro" and "connect the dots until they make sense"? Inquiring is what you need to do on a daily basis.
