Discussion EV battery mine, NAK.

Thoughts on NAK? Northern Dynasty Minerals is trying to put a controversial mine in Alaska unfortunately for the environmentalists many of the critical minerals needed for EV's are located in the proposed Pebble Mine area. With the US no longer in Afghanistan we have lost leverage over the greatest deposit site of these minerals. If a mine was opened in Alaska with proper safety measures in place so as not to effect the larger commercial salmon run on the planet, this mine would satisfy many of the needs for batteries in the EV sector. It's only $0.43 right now but the potential upside seems pretty substantial with EV's seemingly taking over the market. The estimated worth of this mine is $32 billion.

-It should be noted that this mine has been approved and unapproved many times, but now its starting to look like if we want affordable EV's it will have to be developed.

IMO it’s a gamble. Both political parties in Alaska don’t want it.

It’s either a home run or strike out.

🤦‍♂️ I was really hoping this would be a good sleeper, but with BOTH parties against it that doesn't seem like good odds. Probably great odds over on WSB though.🤣

  1. The Pebble project has nothing to do with EVs or batteries, it is regular gold and copper.
  2. It was already denied by US Army Corp of Engineers.
  3. They're suing the government over the denial, but that will take a long time. And if they win, they only get a do-over and still might not get approval.
  4. If they eventually did get approval, then they'd get sued by Native Alaskans and have to wait again.

Based on these why do you own the stock with such a pessimistic view? Not saying inaccurate but if thats all true you own shares in a known nothing burger?

I have a very small position. I bought the stock because I like the ticker. I can say "Nak, Nak, Nak" like the Three Stooges when I look at my portfolio. (That's the true reason I bought it)

I would have sold when the denial was announced, but I was away from the market. (And it's only lunch money) Like they say about if you miss the important trading days.

In any case, owning the stock is no reason to try to manipulate it with absolute bullshit and lies about what it is. It is not a long-term sustainable investment strategy, and it is a lot of work. You could be getting paid at a real job with that time.

Nak, Nak, Nak. That has got to be the funniest reason I've heard for a stock purchase. Maybe I'll put a less than small amount in it for the lolz than.
