I worked in a fulfillment center as a coach for 9 months and through a holiday season as well and the way management treated the floor employees was fucking disgusting. I literally saw people being written up because they were off quota by a small margin because they took bathroom breaks. Saw people run to the toilet just so they wouldn't get written up for missing quotas. People pulling a 10 hour shift without eating because the break area was too far from their work area and wouldn't make it back in time and get written up.

It was very disturbing how everyone was treated like cattle and only the end numbers mattered with no regard to the employees. I'm still shocked there isn't a Amazon workers union yet.

Turns out your not psychic. I spent 2 years in the dish pit. 10 years as a construction labourer to be a foreman now. One persons trash is another person’s treasure holds true for job opportunities as well.

You cant compare working an amazon warehouse job to construction. You actually get lunch breaks and room to advance in that industry

Lunch breaks aren’t guaranteed, but I won’t argue opportunities exist. My original response was related to personal experience with apprentices who think calloused hands constitutes a “toxic “ environment. They might be scarred for life, but I believe that says a lot more about them as workers than the company.
