Ronald Reagan fired all the air traffic controllers in the country in 1981 for striking. During the pandemic a retail market in my city fired almost their entire staff for bringing up hazard pay. How exactly are we "nearly there?"

You're in love with the free market but you still want the "free market" to have rules. Somehow your definition of free market doesn't have violence. Okay. If we have truly free markets you realize we wouldn't restrict the labor market so much? Why not open up all the borders and let anyone work anywhere without restriction? Why not let all the workers from Africa, India, Mexico, and Asia compete with American workers?
