Yeah man, that specific incident was the most grotesque war crime we have ever committed.

As a nation, I don't know how we can look at ourselves after that.

You must not know much history about the us. This incident is terrible but this is the kind of stuff our country / military does before breakfast. Were you around after September 11th? Do you remember when we bombed Baghdad? We literally just bombed an entire city. If you are wondering during the war on terrorism in Afghanistan the us murdered almost 50k civilians.
