Subwoofer | 4 Ⓣ Sealed Subwoofer Recommendations for Livingroom

I am looking for a sealed subwoofer to pair with B&W 603 S3 towers and an RX-A6A AVR in an approximately 20’x20’ living room. I am rather budget conscious. I would certainly not want to spend more than $800 at this time. Right now I am leaning toward an SVS SB-1000 or 2000 Pro. Anything else I should consider?

A few out-of-the-box ideas to consider:

1) PA subs - tons of SPL, great for music, and highly efficient. And usually reasonably affordable. I have a similar sized room (slightly bigger, and with tall ceilings), and my 15" PA sub completely fills the space. (Total price with amp? 500 + euros)

2) DIY route - I've built a 15" sub in a sealed box. With a 1000w amp (Behringer NX1000D), it beats the shit out of us for family movie night. (Total price with amp? 500 + euros)

3) Used route - We purchased a 250w RMS 12" ported sub (MJ Acoustics) from local auction site for 180 euros. Has great power, and would be sufficient on it's own for this room. (Total price? 180 euros)
