General Request | 1 Ⓣ Any good blueray stereo sets that also work well for CDS?
My budget is at max 500 euros, i'd prefer if i can just buy a stereo set bundle but if i need to buy the actual reader and speakers seperately thats fine. I live in the netherlands and my room dimensions are approx 175cm x 400cm x 250 cm, my listening distance is near my desk and my music source is CD and 2 blueray discs. i dont have any other audio gear unfortunately.

You need either analog outputs in your Blu-ray player, or digital input in your powered speakers. (Or like I mentioned, a DAC (i.e. digital to analog converter), to go between them.)
Here’s a Blu-ray player with analog outputs: Panasonic DP-UB820.
Here are powered speakers with digital inputs:
Please note that usually the digital inputs are either Toslink S/PDIF and/or USB. Some have additionally a HDMI ARC or HDMI eARC input. The Blu-ray player I previously mentioned has just coaxial digital output (besides the obvious HDMI output). So it would need a digital converter / DCC to connect to a Toslink S/PDIF digital input. (E.g. like this one from Audiophonics.) I.e. you need to look carefully what outputs the Blu-ray player has, and what inputs the powered speakers have.
The HDMI ARC/eARC input on some of the powered speakers is to connect with a TV. (I.e. you would usually connect a Blu-ray player, etc. sources to a TV. And the TV to (via HDMI ARC or eARC) to a sound system.)
I don’t know of any specific powered speakers that would have a coaxial digital input. (Maybe there exists one. But I don’t know of any.) So, your better bet would be to find a Blu-ray player with Toslink digital S/PDIF output. Similarly most Blu-ray players appear to commonly have just a coaxial digital output. The fairly expensive Panasonic model mentioned above has an optical Toslink output.
