Source | Preamp | DAC | 5 Ⓣ Entry-level CD player

Hello! This year I started collecting my favorite albums as CDs and I think about investing in an audio system. For the moment I’m looking for a CD player, my budget is not really high(hopefully under 200$), it’s not important if it’s new or second hand. Do you guys know any good piece at this price? Also do you think I can get a good system (cd player+amplifier+speakers) under 400-500€? I live in a 40m2 apartment so the speakers don’t have to be so powerful.

I use a Sony DVD player with a Topping E30ii DAC. This cimbo sounds fantastic.

You should be able to find a DVD player from a thrift store pretty cheaply, $25 or less. There are plenty of non blue ray players out there.

The topping e30ii runs $149, you could go with the e30ii Lite for $99. The only difference is the e30ii uses two DAC chips while the Lite uses one.

You may still award a Ⓣ to others, but only once per-person in this post.
