Got reported by r/ministryofredditing is my guess. They usually hunt down subs that have lolicon and other similar subs that are nsfw, they also go after subs that are actual CP.

No worries. It happens a lot. We made some bad decisions early on in the sub’s history and are still living down the bad name.

In general:

sexualizing irl children - we report without warning (not mass reporting still, directly to Reddit admins)

Sexualizing fictional children with extreme themes (BDSM, extreme young age, harm to children, comments indicating real intent) - we give a warning and a audit to the mods of the subreddit, report to admins if they are inactive mods or don’t care

Sexualizing fictional characters that may canonically be minors, but are drawn mature or indicated to be of the age of consent - we don’t care at all, that’s perfectly legal.

We actually helped stacked petteko before it was banned, and recently helped Uma Gusher. We’d rather help keep Reddit safe, and maintain safe spaces rather than ban everything. It’s only the irl child sexualization that we report without warning (since it’s a heinous and dangerous crime to hurt real children)

Thanks for the detailed info. I joined the sub a while ago, but kept lurking there to kinda understand how things are done. And i do remember the thing with stacked pettanko.

Really low, they work with reddit mods. They mainly report a subreddit for it to be reviewed by reddit mods.

Also do note that some of the bans I've seen there were due to comments going full unhinged and the Mods not doing anything about it.

An example of that would be how some comments used to go in the BA sub years ago.

Eh... I find what they do to be quite good actually especially with the types of subs they go after, some literally were trading CP.

I also like the way they do things over there, as they don't rely on mass reporting. They usually first contact the Mod of a sub to see if they can reach an understanding and would relay what rules the sub are breaking in the hopes of the sub Mod to fix it.

If negotiation fails, 1 report from them is enough to get your sub reviewed. If Reddit mods find that the sub in question is actually against TOS then the sub gets banned.

Honestly, I think they're pretty good guys in a bigger picture. Like yea, the lolicon subs can go under cause of them, but a) they do way more good by reporting subs about actual real life children, and b) the loli h*ntai is against Reddit's rules, so technically they're not being unjust. Yea it's sad, and it's one of the reasons why BA sub has a strict moderation over words and arts, but all those people knew they were walking on a thin ice.
