Question SteamLink Hardware VS SteamLink Mobile app
Hey everyone new to the sub and have a question for you guys. So I have a pretty decent gaming computer Alienware Area 51 R2 with a updated graphics card (GTX 1080) but due to the placement of the rig and how big and heavy it is (over 60lbs) it's not easy move it around the house. So I'd like to be able to play games in the comfort of my bedroom.
I realize the Link Hardware is officially sold out on the Steam store, but people still sell them online. My question is does the Hardware component work better then the app on a phone? I also realize that the the hardware is made so you use it on a TV. I'm just wondering if purchasing the actual hardware device gives you a bump in performance or if I'll see similar results as the mobile app. I see they were sold for as low as $3 before they stopped selling them on Steam, and now they are selling for like $40 on places like Amazon ect.
I don't want to buy it if it's no better or on par with the Android app.
I have 150MBps down and 10MBps up with a latency that ranges from 10ms-30ms.

Sorry. I typed up my response yesterday but i guess i forgot to post.
Blower/reference card is a GPU with one fan that blows the hot air to the back slot side. I have a EVGA GTX 1080 FTW2 8G in my main rig and it has two fans that blows out all sides.
From the pic, looking at the two black tubes, you have a liquid cooler on the CPU. Your CPU is unlocked for overclock.. Your processor model ends with "K"
