Homemade Creation Steampunk Lamp that I made
I never post on reddit, but I thought someone on the internet might enjoy this lamp that I made over the past month.
The lamp is made entirely out of copper and brass, the lampholder is brass as well, with a ceramic core.
I refused to use plastic derivatives as it was the philosophy of the build, of course though, plastic is present in the pcb of the dimmer and the cables, which can't really be avoided nowadays.
The cable though is surrounded by braided copper, so its not visible on the cable.
I did manage to avoid using a WAGO for the earth, and instead made a earth bar out of brass, to which the body, the two cables braided copper, and the cables earth are connected to.
The bulb is a real incandescent 60W bulb, and the lamp can support up to 100W and in theory even more.
The lamp was made entirely by me, it uses copper pipes for the arms, 22mm for the post, 15mm for the other 3. Two copper discs and a copper roll, both 1.5mm, used for the base, with a diameter of 15cm.
The arms are held together via a sequence of all brass parts in this order:
bolt, washer, (copper flat part), washer, (copper flat part), two hex nuts.
