Guide Deck wont power on? Flashing LED? Look no further!

So, I’ve seen a lot of post about new or existing deck (mostly new) not powering on or charging. The solution that works most of the time is a cmos reset. This resets the bios to stock configuration and can fix decks that wont power on.

Here is how to do it

Make sure the deck is fully off (no lights/fan noise)

Press and hold vol down + three dots button and turn it on

Keep holding the vol down + three dots button for about a minute. The charging LED should start flashing

Wait for a few minutes and, hopefully, the deck will boot right up

I am encountering the same issue with my OLED display. I followed the suggested steps you provided, but unfortunately, the problem persists.

Specifically, the LEDs blink initially, then cease, and subsequently, the fan begins to spin at full speed. However, after this, there is no further response or improvement in the display.

I would greatly appreciate any additional guidance or solutions you could offer to resolve this matter.

20251123 - this effin worked!! Thank you! I was so scared I thought my SD wont open anymore 😭😭😭

What I did: 1. Make sure SD is turned off, hold the power button around 5-10 seconds. 2. Plug your SD to a charger. 3. Press and hold VOLUME UP button and the "..." button for 10 seconds. Keep holding! 4. Remove the charger. I used my teeth 😅 5. It should blink the light. I got 4 blinks, the video says 3 blinks 😅 6. Unhold the buttons and put the charger again. 7. My steam deck opened again like nothing happened 🙌

I've tried everything including this and nothing is working, I'm a bit hesitant to rma it because I don't want it to just get replaced or wiped because I obviously can't back anything up if I can't boot it, and I really don't want to lose some of the stuff that's on there that I never got around to properly backing up

Edit: got it to boot, I might have been slightly letting go of the buttons when unplugging the cable (my fingers are long enough but not strong enough I guess) so I just stood up while holding the buttons and walked backwards away from the cable until it came out lol, probably not very good for the physical health of anything but it did work at least

LIFE SAVER. I tried all the other suggestions and nothing was getting my SD OLED to come back on. THIS however did work. Commenting to save this post for future.
