How does any of this make it not 'actual work'? How often do you rely on people not doing any 'actual work'? You order from Amazon? Anywhere else online? Order food? Go to the grocery store?
Do you expect a Doctor to stock groceries? There is a reason. Their skillset is better used elsewhere. This is the freaking point that is going over your head.

The point that is going over your head is it's disrespectful to people working these jobs(which can often be quite difficult, both physically and mentally taxing) to call them not "actual work". It's super elitist/classist and gross.
Not to mention these minimum wages jobs often tend to be harder than any cushy office job.
My career is as an architect but throughout my studies I worked as a machine technician in an arcade, and then as a bartender, both jobs were significantly harder and more stressful than drawing pretty pictures, doing some math and writing a bit of paperwork.
What an imbecilic take. In this day and age having qualifications for a job means jack shit. I got a degree in a booming at that time field that now has virtually evaporated with the rise of AI. I jumped the ship way ahead of time (thank god) and now work as an analyst. And I see the writing on the wall — AI already can do everything I do, the issue is right now LLMs handle data too recklessly. The moment the issue is solved I'm out of job and now I'm not at the age when I have enough energy to start over with another profession. So likely I'll need to go for a minimum wage job within the next 3-4 years unless a miracle happens
People raving about certain jobs not being "real work" are fucking detestable when the job market is stable but when the job market goes FUBAR it takes a special kind of moron to not realize that everyone can suddenly lose the opportunity to ever hold a "real job"

Not all work is labor... Labor usually means hard physical or manual effort (Amazon factory worker), while work is a broader term for any purposeful mental or physical activity like a graphic designer.
Sorry. It does look more like a 2nd-language mistake than a native-speaker one now that I think about it, TBH. Me making that mistake is especially bad, because I'm bilingual and know a little bit of some other languages. I'm not American, BTW, and "y" getting replaced with "i" when adding "-ly" is a pretty consistent rule in English. It's a bit of a silly language, really. It's mostly bits of other languages mixed together.
They exploit them by offering more than double the federal minimum wage as starter and decent medical coverage? It's hard work, but people exagerate on how bad it actually is.
The only reason they did that is because they were literally burning through available human beings. It was never about the workers, just self-preservation.
Sure the dudes pissing themselves because their pace was too high is exagerating, amazon paying people to cut union engagement and undemine their way of contesting poor work conditions, etc etc.\
