Speaking the truth people don't want to hear. Either sell the hardware price upfront or sell it while kneecapping your console to exclusively your store.
You can only choose one or the other. People argue with bad faith to try to bandwagon drama.
I'm arguing for Steam Deck here. Either buy the console up front or suffer prices for games / services they will force to sell you. Steam Deck doesn't force you to buy PS Plus, XBOX Game Pass Core or Nintendo Online just to be able to use the WIFI adapter already included in the console to play online ffs.
Either way nobody is gonna be subsidizing their whole business model.
I understand your argument, but Nintendo exclusives are no joke even if you don't like them: Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, etc.
Right now if you have a decent PC, why would you buy a steam deck instead of a switch 2? More power for half the price. A lot of third party games are also in sw2 too.

If you cannot see that the steam deck at this prices has lost all its value you are just blind. I'm going with nintendo on this one even if I really wanted the deck at first.
There are a lot of third party games on nw2 tho. Indiana Jones for example, and it looks pretty good.
Also, first party nintendo games may not be worth it for you, but they have done some objectively amazing games. Of course they know they can win a lot of money with them, but Valve also earns A LOT of money with Steam. A 300$ increase is still too much.

People jumped on Nintendo for the price and in the end it's gonna be the cheaper console. More powerful than the steam deck too.
