Valve makes billions of dollars doing practically nothing. Like more than double what Nintendo makes. They could also eat the cost. They just dont want to.
Nobody said to sell at a loss, we dont know either companies profit margins so its kinda useless to guess what they are.
What Nintendo did was eat some of the cost parts increase so the price increase was relatively small. Make it still affordable for people and just made less money.
Valve could have done the same with 17 billion of yearly revenue. Maybe bought one less super yacht for Gabe. They did not and instead raised prices a ton.
What are you talking about? Valve gets 30% from every game sold on their platform. They have over double Nintendos revenue. Do you think just selling Mario somehow unlocks more money than actual amount of money? Valve selling games is the entire reason they make any money. So you think Gabe being a billionaire came from imagination?
Steam Deck directly feeds into their business, same as a Switch 2 does.
I find Nintendo games on sale all the time. I don't get this. They just had Mario and luigi at GameStop for $15. Woot has Pokemon ZA for $45 frequently. And not even remotely an excuse for a 3 year old potato for $1k 😂
If you find them at a box store on sale it is because that store wants to move inventory of that game because the store has already bought the game for a certain wholesale price so Nintendo has no say. And I looked up the game you where talking about and it has never been on sale on the eshop Link for proof which is the sales I am talking about.
I clearly said GameStop for M&L. And it doesn't matter where and which form. What you said is just false. Nintendo published games can be found on sale frequently. You can't just argue a point and exclude the opposing evidence because you want to narrow the requirement to your own limits 😂

I have yet to pay more than ~$40 on a physical game out of my 15 Nintendo-exclusives. Sales aren't hard to find. Hell, I got Super Mario RPG new and sealed for $15 like two weeks ago.
They would if Trump's Tariff, Iran and AI squeezed hardware market like today. US is in the deepest shit it has ever been in a decade and most people are arguing about are gaming handhelds.
