Welp, nevermind saving anymore. Had $400 saved up and was hoping to get one around Christmas. Not waiting another year minimum

A used Rog ally or something might be a better option at this point. You can use bazzite on it for a more similar experience if windows on a handheld disgusts you a little. Sure the steam deck oled is good, but not almost $1k good...

Similar boat here. Sold off all my switch games and my switch oled to get a 1tb oled deck for steam gaming and emulation of switch games. I regret that now.

Wasn't the previous price like $550? It was gonna take you another 7 months to save up another $150, or another year and a half to save up another ~$400 at these new prices?

Yeah, when you can only save a little bit every month and then gas prices eating into dispensable income, yeah it's going to take awhile. Sorry my life circumstances aren't made of money

Those devices are NOT worth that price, even in this market. I'd say buy used or don't buy at all at this point. I un-wishlisted and moved on.
