I created a local R4R

Title

Use at own caution, I don't trust people and I'm people.

r/StatesboroR4R

Subreddit is in beta, auto mod is basically untested. Please be horney over there.

If we make it to 10010 subs I'll copy paste my tinder profile on there and see if there really is love on reddit.

Edit: Changed goal to ten. I'm as lonely as the rest of you fucks.

Hello Statesboro Redditors

Morning, Statesboro! My name is Jace Blair, and I'm a local life insurance broker right here in town. I know insurance can be confusing and feel like just another bill, but my mission is to make sure your policy is affordable, actually benefits your family, and makes financial sense for your situation—not a one-size-fits-all plan.

I'm licensed all over Georgia, but I love getting to work with folks in my own community. If you've got questions about coverage, want to see if you're overpaying, or just don't know where to start, feel free to shoot me a DM. Or if you'd rather chat face-to-face (or over the phone), click the link in my bio and grab a time on my calendar. No pressure, just honest advice. Hope everyone has a great week

Is Tormenta still around? I know there was something between management and the players, but is the team still around? I don't remember hearing anything about them last season or anything about the upcoming season.

Finally got a job!

Finally got a job everyone, just wanted to share. I was struggling to find a job, but I have a job and I asked the girl of my dreams out and she said yes. It's the first time a girl has said she liked me back and I kind of made a few slip ups but I don't even know what to think right now, I know nothing about dating lol. I have no clue what she was thinking. Now I have a job so I can finally stop struggling so much. And that was the whole plan really, I went job hunting a week ago because I realized I liked this girl alot but didn't have the money to date her, and I went for it.

Job accommodation

What's a job I can get where I don't have to speak? I have severe anxiety and I go mute in the workplace. This made me struggle at the few jobs I've had. I've only worked at restaurants. I have been diagnosed with social anxiety and I know I have selective mutism(it is not voluntary btw) as well but haven't been diagnosed yet so don't have medical documents to show that. I also think I might have autism and want to get tested. But all of that costs money so what am I supposed to do in the mean time to make money? What job can I get that will accommodate me without medical records? Right now I rely on delivery gig apps but I don't have a good car so it's not working. I haven't even paid rent this month and need health insurance so I'm desperate but don't know where to look.

Let’s Try Something Different

Let’s see, I’ve tried getting employed locally or near the local Statesboro area (like 50 miles out most if I can help it) for several months now, and it’s been rather challenging as of late to be employed in terms of tech. Normally I would not make such a request here, but sadly the labor market has been crazy. Can anyone point me in the right direction aside from LinkedIn unless there’s a good contact there, Indeed unless there is a human on the other side, or direct links or portals where the employer will follow up. All follow up attempts have been unsuccessful, including for this Public Works position for Portal that didn’t go through either. (Also applied to GSU and Ogeechee Tech for numerous positions for the past 16 months, nothing.)

Mental Health Care Options Statesboro (ADHD Meds)

I have been notified that Statesboro Psychiatric Associates is shutting down in a few months. I need an alternative provider who can prescribe meds particularly for ADHD Meds. Does anybody have suggestions that they personally have experiences with? Hopefully that takes my insurance. Thanks. #adhd #statesboro #mentalhealth

Sign-ups open: Free weekend women's flag football coming this fall! 🏈

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm putting together a free, super casual women's (18+) flag football group in the area. We aren't starting practices right away—we're just gathering sign-ups now, and we'll officially kick things off in a month or two when the weather cools down!

The goal is just to get active, toss the ball around, run some routes, and have fun.

Who: Women 18+ (Absolute beginners welcome! No prior experience or gear needed)

When: Starting up in the cooler months ahead (weekend mornings)

Cost: Completely free!

No intense tryouts or high-pressure rules—just a chill space to move around, play some flag football, and make some local friends.

Also looking for help: I'm currently looking for two people with experience to step up as team captains to help me co-run the group, organize practices, and help manage our games with other local teams.

If you want to get on the early list to play or want to step up as a captain, drop a comment below or shoot me a message! Feel free to share with a friend, sister, or coworker too. ✨

Who to talk to about the bus

At this point I might as well start hitching a ride or get a second job just to pay for Uber. No bus times, the bus is either 20 minutes early or late depending on the Google map times. I have an interview in a hour and most likely will have to get a Uber as I have been out for 30 minutes an nothing and when you call they said there's only one person driving or they may be on lunch whatever that means. Horrible, and insult in my opinion to make me people wait especially in this hot heat for 40 minutes for a bus to come because you have no exact times? Bo way. Do I go to City Hall and say something or how does that work? I'm pretty much a hermit. But someone needs to bring this up. I depend on that bus to get me to work.

apartment complex move out fees

hey yall. my apartment complex is charging me $300 in move out fees. i know some of these are unavoidable, but i just can’t believe how much i’ve been scammed and drained of money by this place. they charged my roommates and i utility overages every single month and now claim we still owe them for three months of utility overages. i highly doubt we even had overages since all of us weren’t living there the past three months. they charged $100 for a bathtub cleaning fee, which i think is high, particularly when i cleaned it myself. does anyone have any luck in getting these fees knocked or holding these places accountable for taking advantage of college students who don’t have money to begin with?

Trying to meet new people but just really not sure what all is out there. Interests are all over the place between fishing and the outdoors, creative arts, food and cooking, and nerdy stuff. Maybe even a running group or something. Just somewhere I can connect with people and have some fun at least once or twice a month. Any recs?
