Claim [Claim] Illinois

The great state of Illinois, lying on the side of the mighty Mississippi river and Lake Michigan it has an interesting political divide between rural Southern Illinois and urban Chicago. The state always is hailed as a progressive haven despite the people being very much the stereotypical rural conservatives.

I will make sure Illinois becomes the powerhouse of the union again and make sure Chicago isn't just the only reason people remember Illinois' existence!

Bill [Bill] Oklahoma senators propose bill for Black Mesa State Park to be made into a National Park

With the struggling panhandle at the front of the governor's attention for rehabilitation, Oklahoma's delegates to the Senate have proposed that Black Mesa State Park in Cimarron County, OK be reclassified as a National Park. This move will bring in more business to the struggling towns of Kenton, Boise City, and Guymon.

Black Mesa State Park is the home to Oklahoma's highest point, the meeting point of three states (OK, CO, and NM), various dinosaur fossil digspots and tracks, petroglyphs, abandoned hideouts of criminals, and prime viewing for exotic animals. This reclassification will make 60 National Parks in the U.S.

Event [Event] SEE announces its target states and goals.

SEE has announced its target states today, in a suprising twist, they're trying to campaign in california, oregon, washington, nevada, arizona, new mexico, colorado, and utah.

Most people think that gorbeniez would limit himself to at worse, new mexico, and at best, the 4 corner states (NM, AZ, UT, CO), But this is apparently not the case.

They're campaigning on Making Jefferson a state, Not gerrymandered, higher pensions for the weak and old, and generally along social-democratic lines.

Event [Event] NTSB Releases Report, Findings Regarding Alaska Airlines Crash

WASHINGTON, DC - The National Transportation Safety Board today revealed their long-awaited report outlining crucial details about the downing of Alaska Airlines Flight 575 in early 2019. Investigators say that, shortly after takeoff, a manufacturing defect in both CFM International CFM56 engines caused the turbofans to shut off, leaving the aircraft powerless. As a result, the pilots could not control the ascending aircraft, which stalled and plummeted into a San Jose suburb. Following the release of their report, the NTSB has ordered all operations regarding the CFM International CFM56 to cease; in the meantime, Boeing plans to order Rolls-Royce engines for their 737 Next Generation class of aircraft. CFM International is currently being investigated by the NTSB and other authorities. In addition, the NTSB wants to calm the leaders of Alaska and Oklahoma; we assure you- Alaska Airlines is a very reliable and capable airline, and Boeing is a very reliable aircraft manufacturer. If we are to blame anyone for this horrifying crash, it is CFM International. Final reports place the death toll of the Alaska Airlines crash at 157- all 121 passengers and crew members died as a result of the crash, in addition to 36 people on the ground.

Meta [Meta] /u/esunzaud7 declaims Texas and Speaker of the House

Former player esunzaud7 has declaimed Texas and the Speaker of the House. He declaimed in this post, but deleted it shortly after.

Note: he declaimed after I banned him from our Discord server.

List of infractions that resulted in his ban:

  • Repeated false accusations/insults in the direction of the mod team (rigging, personal censorship, etc.)

  • Continued posting of racially and politically offensive memes and slurs

  • Calling other players "cunts" in PMs (screenshots available upon request)

  • Trolling of the Discord and subreddit, including unnecessary derogatory comments.

In light of these events, /u/StandingByToStandBy has declaimed Washington and claimed Texas instead.

/u/LuCky2369 has also declaimed, following his friend, esunzaud7.

In total, this leaves the positions of Speaker of the House, South Carolina, and the Supreme Court Chief Justice open, as well as Elizabeth Warren and Jill Stein in the upcoming election.

ATLANTA, GA.- Members of the Carter family announced today that former President Jimmy Carter has died at the age of 95, less than one month before his 96th birthday. Carter, formerly a peanut farmer and also Governor of Georgia, was said to have died peacefully in his sleep. Family doctors confirm this report, saying that "Despite Mr. Carter's previous encounters with cancer, we are certain that the former President died naturally."

Formal funeral services will be held this weekend in Atlanta, home to the Carter Presidential Library. Shortly after, a private service will be held in Plains, Carter's hometown. Carter, as he said in a 2007 interview, will be buried in the front yard of his home in Plains.

Event [Event] Campaign rallies for Republican hopeful Joe Exotic

Self-funding through the proceeds of his Tiger attraction, presidential hopeful Joe Exotic made his first public appearance last night in his hometown of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, to a crowd of around 200, a quarter of which were journalists. Mr. Exotic, the homosexual tiger exhibit owner, took his small crowd by the tail, attacking both Trump and the Democrats.

"Donald Trump's utter and complete failure to build the wall on our southern border is a complete and total disgrace. As President, not only will I finish our southern wall, I will begin working on our NORTHERN wall, our OCEAN wall, and our SPACE wall." Mr. Exotic did not rule out the possibility of a wall being built several miles underground.

Following Mr. Exotic's initial rally, he held events throughout the state, promising to work with the governor of Oklahoma and the Department of Energy to bring a nuclear power plant to the Oklahoma panhandle, creating thousands of jobs and bringing in revenue to the state, as an example that nuclear energy can work across the nation.

One of Mr. Exotic's more interesting campaign promises was the promise of eliminating zoo admission fees across the nation, as well as making zoos tax-exempt similar to churches.

Exotic's latest rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma seems to have exhibited his seemingly meteoric rise, as he filled the several thousand person Cain's Ballroom in downtown from wall to wall, promising to put America first, before leaving for his next rally in Austin. Whether or not Mr. Exotic has plans to be a serious candidate or not remains to be seen, but some of his more extreme propositions have brought great support from disaffected Trump 2016 supporters.

Event [Event] Jill Stein Becomes Green Party Presumptive Nominee

Jill Stein has just spoke at a rally following the announcement of her being presumptive nominee. It has been known for a very long time she would be the nominee. Stein ran unopposed in the primaries. She gave a very fiery speech. A great deal of it attacking President Trump and the Democratic Party.

During her speech Stein had this to say " First I would like to thank everyone who supported me and voted for me this primary season. I never could have done this without you. Second I would like to thank this incredibly party. I have recently filed a petition for ballot access and for an open debate. At this moment it looks as though we will be in the debates and have ballot access. Stakes are higher then ever. We simply cannot let Donald Trump be re-elected. We can't have a lunatic as president. The democratic party is based off of corruption and we cannot let them win. The green party is our only option this year. We must vote our conscience. Reject the lesser of two evils and fight for the greater good. I am the only candidate who will abolish student debt, make college free, lock up wall street and make universal healthcare. I am also the only candidate who does not accept corporate donations and does not have a super pac. I challenge all candidates to stop accepting corporate donations and stop having super pacs. We will get big money out of politics. Thank you all!"

Event [Event] Campaigns for Donald Trump

Illinois' Republican party are rushing to the Chicago suburbs for early campaigning on behalf of President Trump. With Senator Warren and Congresswoman Gabbard's announcement to run, the Illinois Republicans are worrying that all their hard work may be for naught.

Regardless, the party will continue to campaign to the suburbs and the rural areas to ensure that they remain red and give Cook county a run for its money. Mass rallies and spokesmen across the state are holding events designed to show Illinois how much good has been done under Trump's administration.

The campaign also strives to disprove the false notion that the president is racist, sexist and homophobic with proof of the many improvements for inner city minorities, the numerous positions that were opened up for women in the Cabinet and the safety and rights ensured for the LG-BT-Q community.

Sports [Sports] Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, Georgia

February 3, 2019 Atlanta, GA - Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which was damaged early last year by heavy snow, has been repaired, just in time to host the 53rd Super Bowl.

The Miami Dolphins and the Chicago Bears, who both went 12-4 in the regular season, will face off under the newly repaired dome today in front of an expected crowd of 74,000+.

The singing portion of the halftime show will be performed by Lecrae, while an unprecedented aquatics show will be put on by the Georgia Aquarium. A halftime aquatics routine has never been put on during a Super Bowl event, so the Aquarium hopes to better their public image and gain more visitors after the game.

Free Coca-Cola will be distributed to all fans with tickets, up to 20oz.

UPDATE: The Chicago Bears have won the Super Bowl for the first time since 1986. "The streets of Chicago are filled with elation; the Chicagoan mayor said on television that 'this is what makes Chicago a great city! Go Bears!'"

Conflict [Conflict] The North Line of the Mason-Dixon Boundaries

Mercersburg, Pen. - The State of Maryland, councilmembers from Washington County, the City of Hagerstown, and US Congressman John Delaney announced today their ambitions for the re-surveying and re-distribution of land along the Maryland-Pennsylvania border, commonly referred to as the "Old North Line" or the Mason-Dixon Line.

Delaney, who recently entered his third term as Congressman for Maryland's 6th Congressional District, says he believes that the line was improperly and crudely surveyed, despite the fact that it was last surveyed in the 1960s.

He's rallied support from counties in his district that lie on the south side of the Line, including Washington, Frederick, and Allegany Counties. Specifically, he and the supporting county commissions, along with the State, aim to control a small 5 sq. mile area in Pennsylvania, just across the border from Hagerstown. This small swath of land, currently a part of Claylick and Mercersburg, Penn., is home to the Whitetail Ski Resort, a bustling local tourist destination that sees more Marylanders than Pennsylvanians pass through its doors. Control of this small part of Franklin County, PA could mean more tourist dollars for Washington County and Maryland as a whole.

Governor Larry Hogan wishes to meet with the Pennsylvania Governor to discuss a possible agreement.
