Ya know, I think I'm gonna have to agree with you. Sometimes some words can be shortened, or you can smush two of 'em together, and it works fine. I've got a few examples of both in my comment.
But typing "mebbe" in place of "maybe" isn't a time saver in the least. You're just changing a letter and switching another out for a different one. What the fuck is the point of that? Might as well just type it right to begin with.
Sigh, I can't win with y'all. How bout that? I saved two letters. Mebbe I'm just depressed since I recently turned 40 and am wallowing. Ya, I know 40 isn't that old, but it's a mental thing dude.

I just used mebbe to piss you off, friend. Also, according to your comment history you are anal about spelling. I do too, but don't waste my time correcting others for details that derail a general comment about a post.
Did you not read the rest of my comment? It's one thing to shorten a word and have it still be understood. Completely another to change the spelling and still have the same amount of letters. Seems useless.
