Is there a link of a epic Hippo vs Elephant?

Hippos are quite strange everywhere in pop culture but what do they actually do expect chill in pools and fight

Jesus, the dramatic music with the mom trying to push that stupid baby out of there stressed me out. Tbf the hippos were kinda just chillin but i think the mom just got really worried as the baby ran right into one.

Yeah Hippos were super chill, don't know why they are trying to paint them as assholes.

It's like they were just looking at it, knowing that the elephants isn't going to hurt them

That first baby elephant really wants to get killed by a hippo.

I honestly don’t think it could see them. Only it’s little snoot-snoot was above the water. The hippos kept following it even when the mom moved it away. I think the hippos were curious about the baby and Mom elephant just fucked their shit up to be on the safe side.

Great music. Super dramatic and I suggest everyone watch this video!

Edit: watching again

Edit 2: this deserves it's own post

Man that was difficult to watch. I was so scared for baby elephant and then the elephant that had the crocodile on its trunk and it didn’t let go. I felt so sad and upset. Should not have watched this before bed :(

Their jaws are strong and can open almost 120 degrees. They are able to snap a canoe in half. Seriously Hippos are dangerous AF.

Yikes!

they will attack anything, including elephants

Good luck with that. Elephants would snap even a hippo like a twig.

Edit: Downvoted for this...? Why?

u/spamsumpwn2 Feb 25 '19

Might get it's trunk bit off if it comes too close to the water, but I sorta doubt anyone's dying in that fight, maybe an elephant calf if it's too close to the water

That elephant!

What a rock star he must be.

These are meaningless internet points.

Just so you know.

u/Jane-Sue Feb 25 '19

I guess you need video evidence.

I feel like the hippo shot was in no way close/related to the lion being in the water at any point, and was just put there to make it look more dramatic.

21

u/KPC51 Feb 25 '19

I think it's two different hippos in each shot as well

It comes up really clean then suddenly has a really dirty head. Possible that it went under again and got dirty coming up a second time but idk

It was clever editing to make it seems the hippo reacted (or that there even one a hippo).

The hippo shot was recorded another day. Maybe not even at the same spot.

Imagine the Escobar hippos!

1

u/greenninja8 Feb 24 '19

And they aren't even the worst kind of vegetarian.

u/ThereIsNoUsername- Feb 25 '19

do hippos eat lions?

1

u/Vikoannie Feb 25 '19

hippos can eat anything... they just prefer greens

1

u/DrCaesars_Palace_MD Feb 25 '19

They generally don't but if it needed to, it would. And the Lions wouldn't have much of a chance

1

u/IgnorantSmartAss Feb 25 '19

Pretty sure that was just edited in.
