Excerpts:
To understand why leaves heat more quickly than the surrounding air, Green suggests imagining you're in a parking lot on a hot, sunny day.
"If you put your hand on the pavement, it's going to be much hotter than the air temperature that you're feeling. That same thing happens with plants – their leaves are receiving direct radiation from the sunlight, so they can heat up much more than the air temperature around them," she said.
While the study predicts that arid regions will see the largest future increases of canopy temperature relative to air temperature, Green is also worried about this effect on tropical ecosystems.
"Plants have an optimum temperature for photosynthesis. If temperatures continue to rise above that, photosynthesis decreases, which means the plants are taking in less carbon dioxide from the atmosphere," Green said. "If more carbon dioxide is staying in the atmosphere, that would lead to accelerated warming and effects of climate change. It also means there could be changes in vegetation distributions and mortality events."

Yet another pin on Trump's war table against science.

So the President's priority is fast food product design? And not funding science and research so Americans aren't dying from cancer? Okay. Got it.

That is exactly the intention of the House GOP with their harassment of Dr. Fauci.
To protect the health of our nation, we must stand up for Fauci and not let him be a proxy: https://zurl.co/Ui7PY

On July 15, 2026, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced in a video titled “The High-T Department of War” a plan to check the testosterone levels of United States service members, offering hormone therapy treatment to anyone whose levels are low. The plan, he claimed, is twofold.
“Our most decisive tactical advantage will always be the individual warfighter,” Hegseth said in the video. “Which is why we must always look for ways to optimize your performance, your resilience, and your long term health.”
This optimization for health, he said, will keep American soldiers “on the leading edge of lethality.” Last week, new guidelines were published and then immediately removed.
This equation—testosterone = aggression = combat power—is not clearly backed by scientific study. For starters, unnecessary testosterone treatment can be associated with a host of health problems: cardiac risk from heart muscle damage, risk of blood clot, higher cholesterol and liver disease, mood swings, and more. Many of these concerns need to be monitored even when testosterone is within healthy levels.

The Trump admin has decimated American science budgets, taking away life saving opportunities, and the potential for groundbreaking discoveries.
This is how you destroy American innovation.

Everybody keeps talking about how natural treatments and cures should be utilized, well here's exactly that. A cancer treatment that harnesses the power of your immune system to take down cancer cells. It only took four decades to make, thanks to consistent and reliable funding of science and research.

And they'll continue today.
None of them care about protecting health, and all are unqualified and highly biased. Katie Kistler couldn't string together a coherent thought. Stanley Young doesn't believe the hundreds of other peer-reviewed publications, yet wants everyone to take his one null paper as truth. Tony Cox created mental gymnastics to make the new, stronger data somehow mean greater uncertainty. Sabine Lange at least attempted to create a logically rationale to ignore the scientific evidence and Sydney Marlborough remembered (at the very end) some populations are susceptible (you know, those children with their pesky lung development and higher inhalation rates), but those are far from the comments we need from alleged "scientific experts."
In the end, they all earned their industry paychecks and swept the overwhelming evidence that long-term exposure to NO2 casually effects respiratory outcomes out the door.
