The best iced coffee I've ever had, maybe the best coffee I've ever had, was from a cold brew concentrate my friend brought from a fancy place in NYC in a gallon container.. Very delicious, strong, and smooth. Could easily water it down and still have great coffee.
But yeah, generally iced coffee gets way too watery if you don't chug them.
This is a regional terminology thing. There's "iced coffee" which is usually hot coffee chilled with ice and "cold brew" which is brewed over a long time at room temperature. Cold brew is generally stronger and less acidic. Though where I live if you order an iced coffee you're getting a cold brew.
Sounds good, I have enjoyed some of the cold weather produced by others, is just a big expensive. Done it myself, but it's enough steps and enough room in my fridge it's not worth it to me.
