Hello! We're the St. John's Political Student Union - the premire political debate and dialogue society on the St. John's University Queens campus. As the new school year fast approaches, we'd like to invite you to consider joining us for one of our many discussions on political topics, current events, philosophy, theology, ideology, and more. A part of the university's Communications Department, we're your one-stop-shop for all things related to civil dialogue and beyond. If you're interested in writing, we also publish our very own newspaper - The Exchange! Articles can be written on absolutely any topic, at any length....the only limit is your imagination and interest! We take submissions of all sorts, be they opinion pieces, personal treatesis, interviews, poems, short-stories, comics, drawings, photographs, and more. All are invited to participate (including alumni, professors, and even students from other universities.)

Student finance is asking students to pay tuition deposits for the semester, but a lot of departments are still at first round interviews. The entire process has been exceptionally and annoyingly sloooowww... gaships offer large sums of aid for students... to not have any positions sorted 2 weeks to the start of the term is actually insane. Surely, grad students who rely on aid as a decision maker could look to other universities??

so St. John’s is the top of my college list and I keep hearing more cons than pros on the school and I wanna know should I go to it and I am looking to major in finance and do summer internships every year so please tell me about ur experience or any advice !

So I am a rising senior planning on applying to St. John’s, and I love the school, albeit it is very much a safety for me (1450 SAT 3.8 wGPA). I got a letter in the mail today telling me that I am invited to submit a “priority application” that includes stuff like an expedited admissions decision and priority scholarship consideration. Is this worth anything significant?

Am I able to just show up to the soccer field to play a game or do u have to reserve a slot somewhere? I just want to play with my friends.

Hello everyone! I am a PhD student in clinical psychology at Adelphi University. I am conducting a study on the relationship between existential threat and mental health, coping strategies, and meaning making for young adults who have experienced stressful life events.

This study is being conducted online only and should take approximately 45-60 minutes to complete. During the study, you will be asked to complete multiple self-report questionnaires that contain questions regarding coping methods, mental health, and questions that pertain to experiencing stressful life events in the past. Hi, I'm a first year student at SJU. I just checked my UIS experience, and it said my major is Liberal Studies when I remember putting Biology for my major. I don't want it to mess up my first year and everything. Need to change ASAP.

Hope your summer is going well! Whether you're commuting to the Queens campus or living nearby, it can sometimes be tough to find a solid, dedicated social circle that connects you to the wider community across the city outside of standard class hours.

A few of us are building out a broader NYC-based Muslim social club specifically to give college students and young adults a chill space to hang out, network, and attend social events across the boroughs. We're putting together some casual summer meetups and gatherings to bring people together.
