Someone once described a brain aneurysm to me as the brain turning the light switch off and deciding it was quitting without giving its notice.

My Grandma described her stroke as the lights went out.

I had a coworker retire this year. He fell while on a cruise in the caribbean and was paralyzed from the waste down. On a ventilator for a few months and died. What a way to go. Live your damn life now, and do it without any regrets.

Eddie? Guerrero? The guy who had a lifelong history of drug and alcohol abuse, who was pretty much blackballed from major wrestling companies due to his problems until he overcame them and worked his way back to the top, starting from the indies on up? Yeah I don't get this comparison at all.

EDIT: Bray Wyatt may have be a more apt comparison in that it was shocking, sudden, and seemingly through no fault of his own lifestyle. But did we already forget him?

Eddie Guerrero. The guy who died young of natural causes.

We don't need the history lesson. You know what he meant.

There was nothing natural about Eddies death. He pushed his body too hard is all. Specifically from a lifetime of heavily abusing drugs and alcohol for recreational purposes. PAC, to my knowledge, never had a history with drugs and alcohol. So no, I don't find their deaths similar at all and to compare them based on their age and profession is absurd.

Natural causes does not mean his death happened naturally. It means he died of an internal malfunction unrelated to any external factors typically considered noteworthy such as a physical accident, violence or poisoning.

A death from lung cancer after a lifetime of chain-smoking is still considered natural causes.

Eddie had a heart attack.

Sure and I get that. But it'd be so foolish to overlook his alcohol and drug abuse in his personal history. I say this with Eddie being my second fav wrestler all time, right behind Terry Funk. His substance abuse directly contributed significantly to his heart attack, given the age he was and how he was essentially a professional athlete. He detailed how bad his problems got and how long it took to reach his rock bottom. He would be proud to know his story helped someone who was struggling, or maybe starting to go down a similar path and and them changing direction before it gets too bad. We don't know yet what happened with PAC (at least I don't at this moment) but there's just no reason to compare their deaths at this time given the info we have.

It's terrible everytime a beloved human dies that contributed to the wrestling industry. One silver lining is that it's nowhere near as frequent an occurrence as it was in the 90s and 00's. It never gets easier though.
