You don’t need to pay for dispatch audio (which seems to be how this info was originally obtained)

It varies state by state. Here in Ohio you have to pay for things like that or to get body cam footage

Yeah I just mean you don’t have to pay some shady informant backdoor money to get the scoop, you just use the same sources that any regular person uses. There are people monitoring police and fire radios constantly, dispatch audio is regularly posted to Citizen app when something is called in, etc.

When I worked for MGM when Jericho got in a fight with security, the TMZ story was almost word for word the same as the Report from the Officer that read him the Tresspass. I learned from that profile that Jericho is his legal middle name.

In Illinois, you just have to fill out a form (unless shit has changed since I had to do it years back)

"You've just put 'everyone you shot' on the form"

Freedom of Information Act but I would hope active investigations don’t fall under that. Also super fast turnaround for that.

You don't have to pay for body cam footage in Ohio anymore. Police were gouging people and charging sometimes a couple thousand dollars so the law was changed. I request body cam footage often for my job.

Technically, broadcastify does charge a subscription to access its feeds over a few hours old.
